First things first - a lot of credit for this video goes to Dora Farkas and Technical Diving Training for showing me these awesome places and taking video of me - so, thank you!
Malta and Gozo are better known for wreck diving than cave diving but they have a series of caverns and caves that are fun to dive, good to learn in and excellent for fine-tuning propulsion and buoyancy control. Some of the swimthroughs also offer excellent opportunities to practice a bit of scootering.
Did we need the DPVs for this dive? Yes, because we may have been shallow the whole time, using very little gas from our sidemount setups, but we did cover quite a distance.
Those with eagle eyes will notice that I'm still in my drysuit while Dora has switched to her wetsuit. I've scaled back my undergarments as the water temperature has increased, especially in the shallows.
At depth, it remains 16/17 degrees C, though, so I think I'll be keeping the drysuit for a while yet.
