I really appreciated how Hwasa's dad said "our daughters" meaning Hwasa and Wheein. Knowing how much pain Wheein went through because of her biological father since a very young age. She's very strong mentally. As Solar said once Wheein had the hardest time out of all of them. From debut till now considering her leg injuries in their early years and anxiety nowadays.

i will always love the way Hwasa's parents said ''our daugthers'' referring to both Hwasa and Wheein. Their friendship is so wholesome, I always cry no matter how many time I've watched it.
Everyone knew there would be videos but only Wheein knew what was coming. She carries everyone's part until they each recover enough to start singing again. Her walk down the front of the stage is her checking on them. One small but significant thing is that Hwasa's parents congratulate their daughters, plural. Wheein's from a broken home and once she an Hwasa became friends in middle school she became like a daughter to them.
Wait I thought none of them knew about their family's surprise VCR? I recall a comment mentioning that Moonbyul asked Whee In if she knew and she shook her head No... at 8:22 (in this video). I mean I think they knew there would be a VCR since they were prepared, I think at rehearsal their staff showed them another VCR and this threw them off..... I know WheeIn is always ready to sing the members part if they're crying and vice versa- if stable. But I think she got ahold of herself a lot quicker than the others, might be due to her childhood, she might of taught herself to get it together fast and move on when in public. That must certainly be true if she's where she's at right now. MMM's debut stage was attended by only 3 Moomoos (Wheein & Byul's sister & friends). Just look at how the fandom grew in 2 years. When you ask Mamamoo on their most memorable moments, they always say it's their first win and this first concert.
i never cry hearing any song and "I LOVE TOO" and "I MISS YOU" were the first ever songs to make cry, i felt it as a die hard fan of mamamoo, and not only this the fact that mamamoo mostly compose, write songs thinking of their fans and byul always write her rap making it more special for us JUST TOUCHES MY HEART😭

I Love Too is a tribute to the fans. During their early days the fans created a project called "Never Letting Go" and gathered together at a show to let Mamamoo know that they were loved and appreciated. I rarely watch “I Love Too” bc I always end up crying especially when I see Solar is crying. Imagine out of 50 auditions, she was only accepted in 1 company which is RBW. Every company declines her because of her age. I think she was 20 when she starts on auditioning on companies unlike other kpop idols who starts at a young age. Her parents tell her to give up and they will give Solar a las chance. If she still wasnt accepted, she will pursue her studies and become a flight attendant instead. And then a good news came. She was accepted in RBW. After that video, Moonbyul tells her feelings. That she’s a little jealous of other members because every performance, all 3 members are singing while her, she was just waiting and standing until her parts came. And its sad because she auditioned and trained to be a vocalist but rbw tells her to rap to debut. It was really hard for moonbyul to fit in Mamamoo. On Hwasa’s part, she was also declined by many companies due to her appearance. As we all know that Hwasa does not fit in “Korean beauty Standards”. But that doesnt stop Hwasa to achieve her dreams. She practiced everyday and perform on events just to showcase her talents. Even in their early days, korean wants to have a petition to kick Hwasa on Mamamoo. Wheein was always there for Hwasa. Theres a video where Wheein is telling a story about her experience with Hwasa. Many people on that company doesnt want Hwasa and tell in front of Wheein that they want to kick Hwasa on the team. Wheein says that if they want to kick Hwasa on the team, She will also leave from the team.
No one from RBW wanted to kick Hwasa out of Mamamoo. It was a joke played on Wheein on her birthday by Solar and Moonbyul, with Hwasa outside listening behind the door.

honestly i love too always makes me cry, moomoos are so lucky for having them right?! they're the sweetest girls this was the first song solar wrote for us as a response after seeing fans put up banners with the words "never letting go" as an event at a concert the day before her birthday in 2016. i recommend you to react to some of the solarsido acapella covers (believer, speechless, aya) and to "please listen to this in the evening" that is the song solar gave us on her bday this year btw you're one of my faves mamamoo reactors, it's kinda late in brazil (2 am) but i'm so happy with so much content today hahah (sorry for my bad english lol)

Not going through all the comments to check, so not sure if anyone mentioned, but aside from writing the lyrics for the Never Letting Go, solar also had her hand in the composition (on piano). Also, the band Onewe wasn’t their touring band at the time “my star” was filmed, I think. They were being promoted as Onewe at that time.

Wow, what a pair of songs to put together... at least you see the range they pull off in their concerts "My star" tends to hit people that way...it very much sticks with you once you've heard it and makes you want to get up and dance. ...and speaking of dancing, don't look up wheein "my star" fancams, esp the "hip" era ones. Her dancing is deadly And there's a reason the other title for "i love too" is "tears". Virtually everhone in the fandom cries when they see/hear it, and it's often suggested as an initiation for new moos once they've started getting to know the girls as people as well as amazing singers. That was indeed their first concert and no, they didn't expect their families to be in that video. They were told it would be messages from fans (and it was every other day), so still emotional but not...that. Others mentioned the highlights already, solar's parents originally being against her desire to become an idol so their message hitting her hard, hwasa's parents including wheein with their 'our daughters' and yeah, that was wheein's mother (some think it's her grandmother since she was mostly raised by her grandmother, but she had already passed years prior). You could tell how shocked both wheein and hwasa were when wheein's mom appeared, but the puppy regained her composure way too fast and took up the support role, taking each members lines if they looked like they wouldn't be able to continue. I still hate her father (and the k media and knets) for making her so good at bottling her emotions. And it really is crazy how the other three managed to still sound so good even while crying. It def wasn't their first time crying onstage, nor their last, and often enough, wheein joined in on the tears, if she was just too surprised or overwhelmed
Just a suggestion, maybe you would like to check on “Mamamoo story” by What Girl . It’s about their journey throughout their careers as an artist. I believe after watching it you will appreciate Mamamoo even more. That’s what happens to me as far as I know. Mamamoo's B-sides are no joke. I feel like they choose title tracks based on what's the most catchy and what will sell the most to the general public, which is acceptable from a business standpoint. However, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's the best song in the album #IsaidWhatISaid. Another thing I noticed is songs produced by Cosmic Girl & Cosmic Sound usually don't get chosen as title tracks (My Star & Mamamoo CF songs, among others). It's usually the songs of their CEO, who is also MMM's producer, that gets chosen as title tracks. That's why you should listen to Mamamoo albums in its entirety because there are a lot of hidden gems in there :) PS. As someone who requested for MY STAR, I'm so happy that you reacted to this one. I'm not sure if anyone mentioned (and I didn't wanna go through so many comments lol) but at the end of my star there is actually some whistle notes/high notes done by wheein. they didn't do this live because it took wheein several attempts to get them right in the studio, and all the belting at the end might be the reason this song wasn't the title track but im not sure! (since they have to perform title tracks way more often especially right when they release)

There are a few versions floating around, but i think 'mamamoo's story' by what girl is pretty much considered the gold standard. She's also got a few similar ones, as well as more humorous stuff

The project/idea came from Lee Hyori who specifically said she wanted to create a group with these 4 women (so specifically choosing Hwasa). Each bad ass and each iconic in their era... Um Jung Hwa even did a comeback after this with a song feat. Hwasa.
I don't know if you still read these but to answer your question only Wheein knew about the parent videos. That's why she had tears but didn't cry like the others. Note this song is for the Moomoos when Mamamoo started out their fan base was very small but when piano man came out so did lots of fans not statidum but enough they had signs made saying never letting go. My Star is one of MMM's many b-sides that other groups would kill to release as a title track. Imo RBW's decision to bury a number of great songs as album b-sides is one of the main ways they've failed to promote MMM properly. My Star wasn't performed with their label mates Onewe. For their concerts MMM uses a big band that often includes horns, strings and backup singers besides keys, bass, guitar and drums. Onewe has done year-end events with MMM as the backup band for rock versions of Decalcomanie and Gogobebe and they also did a Queen medley with Hwasa. Be prepared to have your mind blown again when you get around to checking out Onewe. I tear up every time I hear I Love You Too. The vid title is incomplete and the song is aka Tears and Never Letting Go but everyone calls it I Love You Too rather than I Love Too. As you may have heard Solar posted the main lyrics on the fancafe as a poem to moomoos after fans surprised them by holding up signs reading Never Letting Go while they were singing Love Lane during a fanmeet. They broke into tears and were barely able to finish the song. My guess is that RBW co-CEO Kim Dohoon urged them to turn it into a song so Moonbyul & Hwasa added their rap verses to complete the lyrics. KDH has done that a number of times, resulting in songs such as Sleep in the Car and Hwasa's I Do Me. Agree - I don't know how you can sound so good while crying and singing at the same time. Not sure whether you noticed that Solar cried throughout the rest of the song after the surprise parental videos. Even when the camera isn't on her you can hear her breath catching as she sobs while singing. I've heard that Wheein was the only one who got advance warning, which is probably why she's the only one who kept her composure. Wheein sang the others' lines until they were able to join in again.

Sorry but that sentence just really rubbed me wrong way especially cause I personally think gogobebe was such a perfect choice to be a title track for the "white wind" album. I mean I could see where you're coming from but one of many things why I love RBW and their artist in general is that their b-sides tracks are as strong as or even sometimes better than their title tracks. I see that more as their effort to put such a strong album which consist so many great songs (not only limited to title track only but also their b-sides as well). They didn't want to put "meh" songs into their album b-sides, that's the reason why I love most their b-sides tracks on their albums. Don't get me wrong tho and I'm not talking about kpop only here but it happens also to many western music as well that some groups/artist sometimes put their effort only focused on their title track only and their b-sides are just act only as a complement so that the album seems to have a lot of songs.
@@winterssong5607 I don't disagree with anything you said and if MMM's album sales were comparable to the most popular kpop groups I wouldn't complain - that would mean RBW was doing a great job and their music was getting the attention it deserves. But that's not the case and I would point to Blue;S as an example of an album full of buried treasure. Their b-sides are so strong I think they could have promoted several singles before releasing each album. To take your example, why not promote Gogobebe, then My Star, then release the album? They sort of did that with Dingga and Aya but that was a case of moomoos pushing Dingga more than RBW getting behind it. I'm not a fan of pre-release singles with little or no promotion other than an MV, basically saying "We're not really serious about this one - it's just a warm up for the main event." They could do it the other way and promote a series of singles after the album release but I think that would be less effective.
@@kudgeond755 Sure I'd be happy if they could've promoted several singles, heck I even want them to promotes all of their b-sides, like literally all of them should have a MV and their videos should reach 50M+ views just in one day. But I know that I'm just being too greedy then if I'm asking just like that, and imo RBW is also still relatively a small company if you want to compared them to other big companies out there and I very much took that aspect into consideration. Sometimes I just wish that RBW is such a crazy huge and rich company that has power/influence in the music industry in the first place, so that way they can did massive promotions to their artist and having those big companies priviledges. Okay let's cut to the chase here, all in all I feel like we as fans are sometimes demanding too much from the companies and will never get satisfied with what they've done, other fans might say why not promoted "X song" instead of "Y song", etc etc. There'll be no ends to this because each of us has our own preferences, both the company and the artist themselves couldn't satisfied all of us. Well that's my two cents of this our friendly conversations.
@@winterssong5607 We're just going to have to agree to disagree but here are my final thoughts. The small company excuse should be retired. They built a new building and debuted 3 new groups. They're no longer a poor, struggling startup agency. If anyone has the right to be greedy it's RBW and since they're selling people's talent I would call it an obligation. Failure to exploit your biggest asset for everything it's worth is bad business. When that asset is one of the best girl groups in the world, past or present, then I would call the failure a sin. Finally, so far no artist under RBW has achieved the sales and success their talent deserves. RBW has a great eye for talent and seems to be a good artistic home but that's about all I give them credit for.
