So the latest release from Castle Creations is the Mamba Monster X WITH an available sensored AND brushless motor. This means you should be able to drive your car at low speeds without cogging! Did Castle manage to create a brushless setup that is worthy of rock crawling and low speed control?
I think they did! Although the Losi XXL2E isn't made for slow speed driving, the mamba monster X sensored motor and esc combo made for incredible control at low speed. Typically, trying to climb up a wall or push against something slowly would result in "cogging" where the truck surges and stops, which is very abrupt and not useful at all for slow speed maneuvering. However, the sensor in the motor allows the esc to know exactly where the motor is on its rotation, and enables nice smooth driving!
