I love the idea of the steam crane! It looks like a lot of fun. I'm curious about how you were able to get hold of the coal fired engines? I got in touch with Riverdale and apparently they are no longer available to the UK 😢
@@Thelittlegreenloco Ah, my mistake. I was confused with another RU-vidr who has the Riverdale Irene. If I remember correctly, it works out cheaper to put a Riverdale kit together than to buy a gas fired loco from Roundhouse by about £200 if you get the Amy kit. I'd happily spend a few hundred to go and pick one up in person if that's the only way to buy one.
Fantastic engine. Looks great, love the colour scheme too. Currently building a short boiler TE1 from parts. What did you use for the forward supports on the shortened canopy? Regards, Joel.
Thanks Joel, I used an old canopy support for the front, cut up and bent, then two holes drilled in the front of the fire box, I used 3mm steel bar for my road loco mamod, which looks neater, will do a video in the week to show more detail as I’ve been asked before a number of times how I made shortened canopies.
@@Thelittlegreenloco thank you for getting back to me. I’ve subscribed after seeing your builds. Looking forward to that video and sole inspiration for mine. Regards
