Man’s Sister Leaves All Her Money to Their Cousin | Part 1 

Dude's not winning anyone over with his "It's not about money" attitude. Mate you're suing for money.

His body language shows just how irritated he is, he can not contain himself.

His sister had the right to leave her stuff to whomever she wanted...life isn't always fair.

My father saw a case like this, but it was SO much worse. This woman cared for her mother for her entire life. The mother emotionally and psychologically abused the daughter, and controlled all of her movements. The daughter wasn't allowed to go out without permission, and definitely wasn't allowed any friends or a boyfriend at any point in her life. The mother lived into her 90s and when she died she left everything to the local cats shelter. The daughter, who was seventy, had no one and nothing, as it was all taken, her only home, her belongings, everything except her clothes were put into the estate and given to the charity (I am still disappointed in the charity for accepting the donation, knowing where it came from, they could have at least let her live there for the remainder of her life before taking it). The local community rallied and got her into a boarding house with free meals for the rest of her life, which was only a couple of years. Her whole life was spent looking after her mother, and her mother being the spiteful (insert expletive here) she was, made sure her daughter would have nothing without her, even in death. Don't expect anything from anyone and live as though you will get nothing.

People always fight over money once someone dies, it's sad and disrespectful to the deceased loved one

My Aunt died. She left some money to me and 1 sister. But I have 2 other sisters and 2 brothers who received nothing. My sister and I pooled the money we got and then divided it up between all of us. The Aunt was not the nicest person in the world. I felt she wanted to cause problems even in death by not being fair. We took care of that.

Exactly- it was her money- she can do what she wanted with it.

Reminds me of my brother. Noone helped me with our mom. I'm disabled,had surgeries yet worked on her house,took care of her before she died. Brother got mad it was all left to me . Turned me into irs. Who needs enemy's when you have family

I took care of my dad for 8 years. No help from my bothers. Only to turn around and found out one had a life insurance on him and didn't help bury him or get a headstone. I did. Found out a year later that 100,000 was paid. Never said anything to him about it cause I would still rather have my dad. I'm still mourning him.

Had a friend who's father was awarded a sizeable settlement in a class action suit. She was in charge of handling the money when he passed. I told her to be careful because when it came to money families can turn very quickly. She assured me they weren't like that. Things went fairly smoothly until her mother became ill with terminal cancer a very short time later. As soon as mom passed the tide turned and WWIII erupted. She was in shock that her siblings could be so greedy. But, sorry to say, I told her. It happens all the time.

I wish he would just be honest that he likely felt unappreciated that he was the one taking care of his sister, yet she left everything to her cousin who may not have done as much for her. Even if he took care of her out of the goodness of his heart or obligation not expecting all her money in turn, that would still make most people feel slighted like it was intentional that she left him nothing, so it's ok to admit that. The fact that he tries to act like the money didn't bother him at all makes me question his credibility and intentions...Like what are you trying to hide.

Those commenting should watch the subsequent clips. He was right to do what he did. He's not suing for his sister's money, he's suing for the legal fees based on her lies about him while she was committing insurance fraud. She got that money from the late relative and was so greedy she implicated him in a crime to net herself more money.

The reason why she left all of her assets to her cousin is probably the same reason why he is in court. He's manipulative He didn't fool anyone, not Judge Judy nor his sister.

I’m older and have seen a life time of various families greed for dying family member’s belongings. I worked 30 years in nursing). Families are often over rated(definitely rarely kind and loving).

As an attorney, one thing that does irritate me about courts, even though this is tv court, is when people want to speak and btw have a constitutional right to speak and the judge does not let them because they see themselves as God. What judges forget is that they are paid by the people to work for the people, including plaintiffs and defendants.

When doing anything for anyone you should never have expectations only if yourself and your actions.

I think the best thing we can do in regards to family, and especially parents, is to expect nothing. That way, if we get nothing, we're not disappointed, and if we do, we can be happy with what we get.

I was a carpenter/builder for more than 3 decades, owning my own small company for 8 yrs. If his wife a "Contractor" as in builder and constantly moving around country, that screams one thing to me....bad reputation, NEEDED to keep moving around, scammers, poor quality, etc., etc., etc....

You care for a family member because you love them not for their money, same with parents don't care for them expecting for inheritance, they haven't lived a life and worked to give the money away they can do as they please. He's an angry man

I’ve seen this with parents with many kids. Parents rarely leave their money and property to the sibling that cared for them. They leave it to the most incompetent of their children because they know that the others will be okay regardless but not their weakling. It’s always best to prepare for this beforehand.

My parents had everything in a trust divided equally between all 4 kids. My sister got stuck with being the executor. It was a pain, but we got through it.

The fact that he was suprised it wasn't given to him just goes to show he EXPECTED it to be given to him. He added he looked after her for months, so in that case he expects payment from someone he claims he loved dearly...BS!!!

My grandfather left all his estate to a charity because he’d fallen out with my uncle. He knew if he left my dad the estate then dad would give some of the inheritance to my uncle. He also made dad a trustee. You can’t make it up.

Saw this entire case when it aired. No matter what he goes on about, it was all about the fact that his sister left everything to the cousin. He went on and on ad nauseum about other things but it was obvious that’s what it was about.

He's giving off the "I was only there for her, to collect, in her time of need and end of life care. I deserve compensation for taking care of her." like your sister was dying.
