Drugs probably compounded with mental health issues. There is no reason other than not being in their right mind. At least he's calm and compliant. Tony, I know that everyone is talking about this young man’s issues and I hate the fact that someone falls prey to the drugs that, a lot of times, get them hooked after the first time. And I hope he gets help..I truly do. I hope he turns his life around…he is so very young, or appears to be. But I just want to say something about law enforcement. A HUGE shout out to them! The things they see EVERY DAY, the issues they deal with and continue to keep showing up for work. Most of them have families…and what they see and deal with, they go home and have to leave work at the front door and become the mom or dad at home. what we tend to forget is that they are human and have feelings and emotions just like everyone else. And most days, they deal will this or even worse things, over and over. Yet, they show up to their child’s baseball game, gymnastics class or dance recital after work. It takes a special person to be in Emergency Services and Law Enforcement. They see the worst of mankind and we forget that a lot of times. Would you please share with them that we DO watch your videos and WE APPRECIATE them? Please stay safe Tony! If I ever fly through LAX, I am going to try to find you and give you a big hug!
Airports generally are very well staffed with police/security. These incidents speak to what may be going on in Los Angeles at-large. If the governor of California cannot get control of homelessness in his state, I would never consider him as a presidential candidate. He is far more talk than action.

Thank you Tony. Laxpd don't know how to use resources correctly to deal with mental health. Laxpd should have a social worker in their department to deal with mental health people
You would think that the resources spent on the jail system housing and feeding the mentally ill could be pooled together to form a mental health system that catered to them. It would be much more effective and at the same cost.
