camera mans camera falls, not the roofer. had more trouble filming video, than the roofer working on his roof. roofer should have recorded the camera man. would have been funnier. lol
The difference between a novice and a Professional is intelligence, proper equipment, and safety harness, a roof platform secured correctly, roof height scaffolding and assistant. Don't do foolish things footwear is important Too.
Roof height scaffolding? The only thing that's really wrong here is relying on a couch cushion, while it's raining. Those things DO NOT work while it's raining. He should have set up a rope and wore a harness, would get done faster aswell. He's racking the shingles when you aren't supposed to aswell. So he's just simply a hack who spends all his money on booze and cigarettes, so making not be able afford to get the right tools.
Roof platform??? U are obviously not a roofer. I worked in residential roofing for 12 years, never seen 1 harness. Real professionals know that roof jacks and 2x10s are the safest most effective fall protection. If it's just him that's one thing, but a whole crew with everyone dragging around a safety rope is far too hazardous. You can trip people, knock tools and material off the roof and get tangled with hoses and cords. Anyone I have ever known will absolutely not wear one, not to macho but because they create more hazards than they are worth. The few times OSHA bear did show up they always signed off on the jack boards as long as the lumber was solid
Once I climbed into my brothers room at like 12 pm it was poring down he was on second floor but had a sorta roof infront or his room above back door and I slipped like a good 13 foot but I tuned of my knees and hands and landed on soggy grass and tried again and got in
Spoiler alert, he doesn't fall. Also, be a good neighbor and go over there and hold the ladder or position it behind him in case he did slip it might break his fall. jeez people today trying to get that viral video so bad, they even put false title/caption after recording boring video.
