The "I ain't scared of you mfkers" stemmed from the comedians before him that night were getting boo'd. It was a pretty harsh crowd. But Bernie went out on stage confident and killed it.

Saw an interview that said the whole "I ant scared of you mfers" was ad libbed. The Apollo has a reputation for destroying young artists and Bernie decided he wasn't gonna let them scare him.So on the spot he decided to add it after every joke.

The back story to this video is what makes it great. That crowd had boo’d every single comedian off the stage that night. Bernie came out and let them know that he wasn’t afraid of them, then proceeded to drop the greatest short stand up set of all time on them.

I got to see The Mac Man twice at the tapings of the movie Kings of Comedy. One taping in Greensboro NC,the other in Charlotte NC. Probably the best comedy shows I've ever seen live. Mac closed it and killed it! R.I.P. to the legend.
