I remember watching the first piece that aired could not believe this is actually happening in Canada when we're giving millions away to others countries. We should be helping Canadians FIRST. Like others commented this is just 1 person thousands more are living hopeless in poverty. Who will help them?
I was on ODSP for years and finally got off it in 2019 with the help of someone close to me. Without that person's help I don't know where I would be now. Living on ODSP was a depressing and alienating experience. It felt like a trap that I could never get out of. I wish the rates would increase so people can participate in life and have secure and safe housing, and access to adequate clothing and food.-- Money really does have a profound affect on physical and emotional health.
@@mikeh2129 pfffft he can't and that's okay. He obviously has mental health issues too if thinking that assisted suicide is his answer. He may not have the technology either not cheap for internet and smart phones. Geez he was contemplating assisted sucide be happy for the guy that that's off table.
My heart hurts for the guy. Thats no way to live. He seems like a genuinely decent guy that just wants the comfort of knowing that people care about him and will be there for him
@@mikeh2129 aw... misinterpreted some people are going to be harsh on him but not you... obviously. He seems like a good person fragile but that's ok. Only 1 doctor gave him a signature I believe for more benefits but now he has two since going viral.
Tears of joy that this man's life was saved by our beloved Canadian citizens ❤️❤️🇨🇦,and tears of sadness that this is happening in our beautiful Canada💔🇨🇦 , never did I imagine that death would be the only way out for a Canadian citizen with a government that donated millions to dumb causes and celebrities. . if this made you sad and angry then start shouting it at the rooftop ... this isn't normal!!!! It's too bad we can't help everyone in this situation, there's thousands more people like this but they weren't lucky enough to get the public spotlight. I hope this man can get enough happiness out of his life that is left to make it worth the pain he suffers every day.
Provincial government must do more to help seniors and people like this gentleman. Perhaps Cynthia can take this issue to the big boss Trudope and ask him how he gives away billions to others, but nothing for the poor in this country that has paid those taxes. Who am I kidding Cynthia or any other news reporter won’t dare to bother big boss Justine with such ridiculous questions. Justine is the man of no flaws in the eyes of the media.

Thousands others in this same boat. *Many* of us are not cut out for living on the streets. Ontario has made low income people homeless. Canada is broken.
I am not afraid to die at all my medicine is covered by odsp and maid should be there for us because we are in gods hands sorta thing even in our darkest hour god is with us sort of thing🙏
Thanks. Money mean nothing to me I got family who take care of me. I am in so much body pain I need a new body. I am a good person but I am a fallen angel, I'm bleeding non stop I die in about 5 years I take lorazepam to help me plus other meds I don't want to name to help me out but nothing is going to save me in the end. I am a sacrifice because I was a vampire but I never hurt anyone. Vampire = UGK. My iron and staff are gone they no longer comfort me this is how you know death is near. I can feel it in the air death is coming for me soon. I am a bit scared because I will miss everyone. I just try to hope for that when we die we go back to the place where all things meet sort of thing .🙏

Compassion correct Lots of people out there who truly need it. People might think its alot but with everything going up. They r struggling as well. There should be a list of candidates n people should do a fundraising at the beginning of the year to help them out n get each city involve. Good luck
Amazing in today's world how someone can lose all hope to the point of considering this. Just as amazing how much difference a glimmer of hope, given by another person just like you, can make to someone's life. Never forget that. Be kind.
I have an amazing story if anyone's interested. One time I was driving home and I felt the presence of the Lord, come down to me from above. I started getting chills and I felt so comfortable with Him. I knew if I asked Him to play a song on the radio, He would. So I said "Ok Lord, play Come as you are..." I didn't know what station it was on or anything, but I turned the radio on and the song started playing right on the spot, perfectly... I started getting flooded with chills inside, and started crying. When I got home, He stayed with me for 10 minutes till I got out of the car. I've been getting answered prayers for around 5 years since, because that visitation eliminated doubt and I follow Biblical instructions as best as I can. Maid is satanic.
me too soon i cant stand being so alone anymore and i cant stand the people i cant find a job, i lost my home and im living in my moms spare room my ex left me for her male best friend i didnt have to worry about.. i was heavily abused growing up, and i feel absolutely worthless as a man

The maximum amount of money he can have while being on ODSP is $40,000. I think it's possible he might not be in affordable housing. Because there is a 10 year waiting list, and perhaps nobody will place him in a home. I don't think it matters if he puts his name on the waiting list. Because it's possible nobody will contact him, and offer him a home where he can live. I think he currently does have enough money to buy a home in Canada, and I know where he can afford to live, but if chooses to waste $40,000 then he just might become homeless when his money runs out, or maybe he will be in the same situation he was in.
Exactly. Having worked with autistic people, they just sit and play Minecraft all day instead of getting up and doing productive, like chores or cleaning up their room.
What they won't tell him is that odsp will suspend his payment and only supply his medical. They will also take 50 cents on the dollar in repayments issued.

must be nice.. other disabled ppl like myself have zero support. Wish there was a program or something to help but there isn't and the threat of homelessness becomes more real ..prayers pls also unlike this man I dont qualify for ANY disability support.
I have a feeling this will be me by the end of year.... but i won't be turning back... no help from the Ontario government but sure give me a lot of problems stress and anxiety though. I don't want to be saved so don't even think about it lol
See, all this devolves to financial considerations. Governments WILL save a lot of money advocating for abortions & euthanasia instead of social services. I wonder if they will eventually offer this to illegal immigrants who "suffer" from homelessness, depression and other issues that the government has to shell out money for which it otherwise could be giving away to Ukraine 😂😅 As for physical pain, a little funding towards CBD research could probably do wonders!!
Proof that you don’t know the difference between situational and chronic depression. Proof that you have no understanding of mental illness or mental health care. Proof that you don’t understand how difficult it Is to cure major depressive disorder, especially if there is an underlying reason that is very expensive to get help for. (Things like trauma informed therapy aren’t covered) There are plenty of people with amazing, fantastic, very blessed lives who are depressed. These people are told they have nothing to be depressed about yet it’s not super uncommon for them to take their own lives because they don’t understand that it’s an illness, not a situational problem. There’s already a misinformation problem online, don’t spread more of it.

I mean, what can disabled people provide us, anyway? Granted we have some productive, capable people with disabilities, but as far as my experience goes, most of them are unable to work or even get out of bed. I have once advised autistic people what to do to get out of their predicament and live productive lives, but they just sit and play Minecraft all day...
