I don't know if they do it in theaters in your area but where i am a couple of them will rent out theater rooms for a group for a film, or you can bring your own movie and they'll play it
It's been 10years now but still Cavill was the best Superman adaptation till date, and being directed by Snyder makes this scene a complete goosebump moment. Wish I got a chance to witness this movie in theaters
I think Cavill was absolutely wonderful but I'll still argue that Christopher Reeve will always be the best Superman. Both incredible in their own right.
even though i loved the mos, bvs and jl movies, i think dceu superman was not that good superman adaptation . snyder superman is unnecessarily too moody dark like batman which is not very superman says few times in movie that he cant trust humans ... in bvs he goes talking to bruce and implies that there is no hope which is the opposite of superman
Same. I even play Flight when I work out and need that extra push. I need to download the movie version so I can have the speech included with the track
@Diogo Castro theyre hyped cause no ones ever been able to pull of such a flight scene I mean just look at how much better tgis is compared to the old superman movies They didn't even have the shockwave punches
@@justharvey2124 Hans Zimmer is the music composer for the film. Dark knight, Man of Steel, Dune, Lion King and many great films owe a fraction of their success to his compositions.
Cu nowadays they put unnecessary lame jokes in every thing and Zack wanta to show the real personality of the superman, in perspective to real world so it relatable to people too
This movie was SO ahead of its time. One of the best superhero movies of all time. It’s a crime WB has robbed us fans of MOS 2 & 3. So many years wasted. Henry is the best !!
@@iamtheshadows4916 okay now you’re just talking out of your ass. This movie was not ahead of its time in any way. Darker, grittier superhero movie - the nolan Batman films did it before.. 2 super beings fighting eachother in a city - The matrix revolutions did it before.. citywide destruction visuals- well the transformers movies, the avengers all did it before… so in what way was it ahead of its time?? The movie is good but people are starting to really overrate it now. It basically took the template of Batman Begins with the constant flashback story telling and made a superman movie in a serious manner just like Batman begins. They even hired the same writers and han zimmer who also worked on batman begins.
Kinda afraid for the future of dc universe. Don’t get me wrong they been giving us good stuff but now Henry cavil is gone, and Ezra miller flash. It’s confusing what they will do especially with main dc hero’s. (Dceu)
@@goodsaint_001 Onnu pode. You should see what Superman did to zod in that movie(superman 2). This one comparatively is far better in every possible way.
Oh man, hearing that crowd erupt with applause when Clark launches into the sky is just heartwarming. It shows that this film got a lot more praise from fans than the critics would like to admit. And maybe Snyder fans can see something that classic Superman fanboys just can’t, that the idea of what and who Superman is is embodied so well in this film that it’s beautiful.
mate all I can say is just watch super man the movie 1978, its corny as hell and hasn't aged well but its a way better representation of superman than this shit
you people say anything is a masterpiece. I do think Henry cavil is Superman like rdj is iron man but the movie production was bad and the effects were horrible. That’s why it got hate. Nobody says that zod was a bad villain or that Superman was bad it’s everything else in the movie that’s bad
@@bas9844 to be honest i do like marvel movies more and absolutley Hate the Josstice league, but the Zack Snyder ones like man of steel were really fun to watch
@@chromeviper5273its more to do with the fact that superman fans are extremely hard to please and did not like how this movie was darker than most takes on superman. People also seem to compare havill’s superman to christopher Reeve’s and dont like the fact its so different, even though at the same time brandon routh’s superman was hated for being similar to reeve’s. Thats what i mean when i say superman fans are just hard to please
Henry Calvin He is without a doubt one of the best, if not the best Superman we've ever had, I don't understand why they want a new Superman if we already have a perfect one
The way Superman looked down at the earth before taking off gets me every time. This scene is so beautiful. Zack Snyder never deserved all of the hate he got over the years.
I never understood why this got hate. Form what I saw it looked incredible. Seeing all the clips I've seen it makes me wanna watch it and this scene..... most heroic thing I've seen
@@virgogaming6488 it's a different take on superman. SO of course its not gonna be 100% comic book superman. Sometimes you guys need to relax and just enjoy the movie instead of comparing to comic books. Please
I’d find that annoying at the theater, but at the same time seeing so many people have this love for my favorite movie, music, superhero etc… brings a smile to my face the same way Henry did at 0:56
@@goodsaint_001 marvel literally doesent acknowledge the fact that people get hurt they treat every alien invasion as a joke Hawkeye says to scarlet witch: were getting attacked by aliens and I have a Bow and arrow DC doesn't play around millions die battles look epic like ever frame in a DC movie looks like a page from a comic book or graphic novel
This scene was profound, his smile is literally everything, I'd be laughing and crying in hysterics if I found out I could fly. His reaction is the reaction of every little boy in every man.
Only those without imagination, depth, virtues and overall strength of character would see this scene as anything BUT profound. The movie was and IS a masterpiece. Muppets like you guys who can't grasp an iconic movie moment are precisely what is wrong with people nowadays. Morons. Oh and check the likes by the way. You're statistically in the minority where you belong.
That 0:40 giving direct, straight chills to the soul. Everything about the dust swirling around his knuckles screams everything beautiful about this. Just YES.
I think its a reshowing of the movie, so these are diehard fans who've seen this scene like 100x tbh. No one would've reacted like this back in 2012 or 2014 when it released lmao, not even for the MCU
This was a joyful scene. And remains so to this day. As a Superman fan since 1980 I was so happy with Snyder's depiction of his power and abilities throughout his films. Finally, Superman from the comics having his immense power brought to life faithfully on the big screen. Will we see the like again?
My dad saw the first superman film with Chris Reeves back in 78 and he said it was the best superman interpretation he had ever seen until that is me and him saw this movie in 2013.. Henry Cavil would have made Mr. Reeves VERY proud!! Best superman ever in my opinion.. MOS made me and my dad cry like babies and that not putting it lightly
I can see why’d you say that. Personally I think TDK is #1 and MOS is #2. Different dichotomy and texture to them character-wise but they’re both insane quality films 🎥
I mean, remember, Superman can travel from one side of the UNIVERSE to the other in moments, if he wants, he's that fast. He holds himself back to a ridiculous degree on Earth, because he's so strong just setting foot on the planet would shatter it, if he let loose even a fraction of his actual strength. Strongest character in fiction, is what I've heard.
The reaction from the audience of this scene is extraordinary. Speed Of A Shooting Star a hell of an epic. I love the reaction. Especially not only because above the oceans but the way he flies up slowly and flowingly through the clouds my top favorite part of it all.
A lot of people say that Christopher Reeves as Superman is the greatest Superman of all time, but over time Henry Cavill could be the greatest Superman of all time. So happy that this movie is finally getting the respect it deserves.
I would say that Reeves WAS the greatest Superman of his time. Then, times change. Characters change. Nothing against Routh, but I would agree that Cavill is the greatest Superman of OUR time.
@@asimhussain8716 I do not deny its strong points. Had it been even a fraction better, then maybe it could have been the best. Everything about that story went right, however; had one thing gone left: we would have had the greatest Superman story of all time.
This is an awesome part in the movie. Clark's first flight. It was filmed and scored well. What I liked was the attention to detail like the sonic booms for example when he breaks the sound barrier..multiple times. Awesome stuff. In my opinion THIS is the best Superman movie. This is an origin story. In the beginning every hero makes mistakes, they arent born perfect. But over time they learn to do things in a better way. MOS portrays it well. Wish critics could understand it.
I remember waiting a year to see this movie with all those awesome trailers, and my mom passed away 2 months before it came out but this movie got me thru it all, and will always have a place in my heart especially that scene. the true crime is there wasn't a MOS 2.
Most underappreciated underrated Super hero move of all time.....Thank you Zack....I will never forget the audience reaction when I saw this opening night...truly a MASTERPIECE
Damn, I gotta see a movie with an India crowd. I saw The Mighty Ducks years ago in Detroit at one of the black malls and it got crazy like that. People jumping out of their seats with applause, huge laughs with all the jokes, cheering with every moment. In Canada where I live, you could hear a pin drop with a packed crowd.
Man Of Steel was and still is heartfelt and gets me emotional every time I watch it. The first flight scene was so exhilarating when I first saw it in a theater and made me teary eyed with emotion seeing the look of immense joy in Henry Cavill’s face as he learns how to fly. Also seeing Kal-El walk through the opening doors of The Fortress of Solitude as he discovers his purpose as Superman. Such a great and breathtaking scene that will always touch me emotionally.
My god. I was 10 years old when this movie came out. I’m about turn 20 in August this year. I’m so glad I grew up with Henry Cavill as Superman. He is and always be my Superman. No other actor can beat Cavill at the role 😢
@@joesolo7719 Same. Very dated for the effects and acting now of course, but at the time, Reeve just perfectly embodied what I thought Superman was when I was a kid
It's kind of that perfect age to watch films. You're old enough to understand most of what you're seeing, but still young enough to feel pure unadulterated wonder and awe. I was 10 when I watched the Christopher Reeve version and he was my Superman for decades. That being said, Henry Cavill is a close second. His portrayal was the most human Superman I've ever seen, if that makes sense.
@warsonggulch6998 🤦♂️ Ugh He was *10* when he SAW the movie. He's now about to turn *20.* Annnnnnd your question was if he was somehow saying that the movie is 20 years old? Wow... Just *WOW* 🤦♂️
I remember watching this first time. It gave me hope. But after watching BVS my heart broke. Zack Snyder really knows how to deliver a character that's is adored and loved by fans.
Incredible that somewhere in this vast blue sphere. In the most remote of places, people of different lands, cultures, and creeds they will rally and believe a man can truly fly. Great job Henry, I honestly hope they do give you one final send off…
Henry Cavills acting is just amazing that smile when he learns to fly is just so real and genuine, like someone who actually just learnt they could fly
I just love the all the fans cheering, that just makes me appreciate this movie even more! And that's why Superman will always be my favorite superhero!
