I want to know how we went from the amazing action scenes in Man of Steel, to the horrendous scenes we got in the flash. I mean, when supergirl and zod were fighting it literally looked like someone was banging action figures together. It was so bad.
He did that in The Dark Knight too, the sound of the batpod was designed by him. And in Batman Begins quite a lot of the sounds were inspired by bats and even the name of the tracks.
Superman won’t be so ridiculously powerful in Snyder cut. the others slightly more useful. Unlike josstice where he carried the whole team Edit: yep. I was correct
_People hate what they don't understand_ _But they see what you do, and they know who you are._ _You're not a killer, a threat._ _I never wanted this world to have you.._ _Be their hero Clark,_ _Be their monument, be their angel,_ _Be anything they need you to be.._ _Or be none of it. DC reflects on reality Marvel dwells on ideal fiction BatmanVsSuperman and Man of steel were real life reflections on how superheroes are considered and how their existence can also bring hope for security and fear for uncertainty, as well. But people were influenced by Marvel type of movies, so they thought it to be 90's superman movie, where hero always saves the day, has to happen today in 2020. Nope there will be times hero will fail, and that's shown by superman failing to save congressmen, and kills Zod breaking his rule and batman stooping down to extent of killing superman.. See that's why I'm fan of Zack Snyder, his take on movies and Man of Steel is always my favourite, because the movie made us realize, every human is a superman.
@@maheshprince4622 exactly. i think personally think that Zack Snyder vision is one of the main reasons why shows like *The boys* got a adaptation on television; he was ahead of his time warner bros didn't understand him ; and butchered his movie.
My favorite scene is when Superman's dad told him he maybe should have let a school bus filled with children drown. Now that's Snyder's vison right there
@@inyeongj.composer i never said he's bad or anything. But hans Zimmer's scores can convey emotions without even looking at what is going on in the movie. That is something special
Through action,a man becomes a hero. Through death,a hero becomes a legend. Through time,a legend becomes a Myth. And by learning from the Myth,a man takes action.
An arcade is a row of buildings like where they are fighting in smallville. I think it can be a row of anything, just like at an arcade they have rows of machines to play games.
Michael Shannon's Zod deserves a standalone movie. Best superhero villain I've seen on the big screen. From his presence and his motivations it's all just so fitting. I'd say he is a hero in his own way. Perfect Character. You can say whatever you want about Zack Snyder but his casting is spot on.
@@lalixlili Yes maybe. But I think she didn't have enough material to work with I guess because it's all new to her. I think her knowing that Clark was Superman from the on set took away a lot of things because then she needed to be a support system for him instead of challenging him. Maybe they should've waited longer and focus more on her journalism skills and how she challenges Clark / Superman
how is he a hero when he was trying to destroy the world only make another krypton. he was more like trying to play god and superman stopped him from destroying a whole race. Superman is the hero here
@@liammaldonado5610 I didn't say he was a hero in the movie, I'm saying in his own way as in if you look at things from his perspective he is a hero because his purpose was solely to save Krypton, I'd say a lot of Kryptionians would've followed him if they were alive to witness what he wanted to do.
+Bradley Green That is the beauty of such characters, you see in most films and series, a villain is evil because he/she's the villain. There is no depth in the character, no explanation. What made him become the monster? How his dark side progressed and how it was encouraged? No. A villain is the bad guy, because he is the bad guy. In Man of Steel, we see a patriot who will do anything in his power to protect his world, even becoming an abomination to do so. And in war, monstrosities occur by both sides, so general Zod was rather.. human.
+Sci_Ant Indeed. Michael Shannon is impressive to say the least.. He combined the charisma of the character with an equally powerful presence, something that Terence Stamp did not have. He was an amazing actor, but the old superman films were for kids, almost becoming comedies.. and not serious. Terence could have been an awesome Zod.. but alas..
@@juggernautweaponxx actually its "we are now slaved to the world engine" it refers to old computer connections where one computer would be the master and the other would be the slave. The slave (in this case the Black Zero) has no control over the master (the world engine) and the master functions independently, which is why Kal went to destroy the World Engine first instead of the Black Zero, since the world engine would continue to function even without the Black Zero.
A man protecting his adopted planet Vs The man trying to revive his dead one. A battle of ideologies and beliefs, two sides of the same coin, it is not a battle against hero and villain. It is a battle against the same belief these two merit, it is as if it was battling a mirror. They are not fighting each other, they are fighting themselves.
After the Dark knight trilogy, this is the top superhero movie for me. Those that bash it are the type of people that don't bother throwing their litter in the bin.
@@alexojideagu it has 59% or maybe 55% metacritic, infinity war has 68%. You see this ain't big difference and rotten tomatoes is the most unreliable site
@@arkhamknight4343 I mean if you like a film, then enjoy it. I like plenty of movies with bad ratings. But for someone to OBJECTIVELY claim this is the Top Superhero movie, I can't accept that. I can enjoy movies even though objectively I know they are not the best. If YOU like this the best, then fine.
"Look at this. We could have built a new Krypton in this squalor, but you chose the humans over us. I exist, only to protect my people. That is the sole purpose, for which I was born. And every action I take, no matter how violent, Or how cruel. Is for the greater good... Of my people... And now, I have no people... My soul, that is what you have taken FROM ME!" ~ General Zod
@@galvinpro ohh yesss... Good Disney didn't have rights to X-Men during that time when logan came out... They would've just made it too kid friendly...
@@ppprenxx can you believe there are critics that say that the Snyder Cut and the 2017 are THE SAME MOVIE ONLY LONGER. they're really pushing it hard this time
If you know any man who's fighting depression, just make them hear this once. This lifts me up everytime, I'm down in my life. The music gives you purpose, power and invincibility. Hanz Zimmer you fkn legend.
But- who asked?🤣 i watched this movie when i was 11 and knew every word every battle every death of a villain and civilian and i was only 11... Its not that the movie wasn't for kids its that the movie wasnt for kids that didnt know much about him -not hate made- Hopefully :) sorry tho if i meant it in a rude way
I was referring to those adult child critics who cry that the movie had too much destruction. But in reality was filled with symbolism, hidden meaning and references which clearly personified the god like and mythical nature of superman and what he stands for. Choosing to kill his own race to protect an inferior one, planned society vs free society, and most importantly never portrays zod as inherently evil, his motivations can be empathized with and why he was willing to do what he did to save his races future. Superman moves beyond those genocidal beliefs and overcomes them with his moral upbringing and sacrifice for greater good (presumably taught by his fathers death). Critics can suck Captain Marvels non existent dick and all the other average mainstream shitty generic superhero movies, but will never credit Snyder for giving us his Vision with his Man Of Steel (uncut version) and BvS (uncut version). I say uncut because that topped theatrical cut by a large margin. For example BvS Ultimate Edition had 30 minutes of uncut footage that makes the movie 10 times better.
frito lays no offense but imo the original superman movie was great but it didn’t make the character interesting at all. To me it was just some American Hero who rescues cats from trees and uphold the law bull crap with sleazy romance where lois lane is just some dumb girl who doesn’t know superman is her boyfriend and is pretty unhinged. But compared to In this movie she is actually an intelligent investigative reporter who is still very daring and knows her shit. In BvS she figures out by herself that the bomb was planted on the wheelchair guy during Superman’s hearing, by going to his apartment and seeing newly bought groceries and deduced that he wouldn’t have bought them if he was going to suicide bomb. Now that is detective work showing that she contributes more to the storyline than just being Superman’s love interest. Sadly it was a deleted scene that wasn’t even 3 min long and showed so much about the character. Theres 30 min of this type of character development that WB cut out of Snyders Vision and scenes that explain story line!!
This film had it all, great story, great action, great acting, great music, great villain and a great Superman wile some of the motivations and scenes were meh or dumb, the film is still good....why people hate it is beyond my understanding
I love this film a lot I think its biggest issue is just the way people talk in snyder movies it can be a bit silly and unrealistic im also not a fan of his humor. But I still watch his movies over and over so who knows.
I want this soundtrack with a Superman fighting against a full parademon Darkseid's armada, all alone. Then when this piece reaches it's climax, a Fist to Fist fight, the last son of krypton vs. darkseid himself.
Would be the most epic superhero moment ever, darkseid going through the justice league And this theme, the slow violin kicks in, superman’s face in rage and he just goes all out against darkseid
@Lumieryn well obviously in the film darkseid is clearly more powerful than steppenwolf but superman did show he’s levels above steppenwolf There’s no way Darkseid can “kill” superman too, only kryptonian weapons can kill him. There’s a reason superman is alive in the nightmare scenes because he can’t be defeated. Only way darkseid can beat him is by if he obtains anti life equation before JL can defeat him.
@@artmaestro02 it is indeed. Imagine Faora returns and they use General Zods music. If only Zod was sent back to the Phantom Zone instead of being killed. However it makes complete sense as to why he had to die.
I personally enjoyed a Superman that doesn’t have everything figured out. He gets to struggle and learn from his mistakes just as a human with no powers would. While I don’t think man of steel is a 10/10, Clark learning and questioning his decisions (and humanity) worked perfectly for me.
@@hello-gx6oi * he punches zod over and over with every word * YOU THINK YOU CAN THREATEN MY MOTHER!!! As weird(ish) as it sounds that is my favorite part
thank you the big criticism i see is from people that expected comic superman with decades of evolution to be this guy...who put his cape on and just learned to fly before the invasion. he's still getting a handle on his powers when the battle of kansas happens.
Mcu fan here and falling in love with this theme. Just rewatching mos and i have no idea why people dont like this masterpiece. Why cant people accept some change in a sh film. Dark theme is what will lead to epicness in storyline like injustice. Hoping dceu will get back on track.
To those of you who know of the 61 people who disliked this epic theme's location: the fate of your planet rests in your hands. to those 61 people I say this: surrender within 24 hours, or watch this world suffer the consequences.
If you observe the picture attentively you will see that zod is blinded by rage . But superman is not angry . Not at all . He is focused. He is focused that, by any cost, he will protect Earth from zod . He won't stop until and unless zod is defeated for good or perhaps killed if Superman has to . And this makes him more dangerous than zod . *SUPERMAN RULES !!!* 🤩🤩🤩
No one in whole comic book universes can defeat superman Those marvel tards say trash about superman but remember when a gentle guy looses his cool he brings havoc Most beloved and most inspiring superhero
He's freakin Superman He's the symbol of hope and justice He's the reason why those kids have their MCU He's the reason why modem superheroes exist He doesn't need to be dark or edgy he needs to be a symbol of hope which aspires humanity to greatness not how most the modern media represents him being dark and villainous I hope one day we may get true Superman and yeah please give this man a good game already
As supermovies's ears tried to withstand the sheer force of this amazing soundtrack. The eardrums gave away and soon supermovie scream in agony and collapsed only hearing the loudly ringing noise in the background as he finally close his eyes for the last time..........
+Irvin Allymohamed That son of a bitch brought the war to us.He has the power to wipe out the entire human race, and if we believe there's even a one percent chance that he is our enemy we have to take it as an absolute certainty !!!!and we have to destroy him.
"These humans you've adopted, Kal. I'm gonna take them all from you, one-by-one." "You're a monster, Zod. And I'm gonna stop you!" AVERAGE! HANDS UP TO THE BEST SUPERMAN MOVIE.
After the "The Dark Knight" Man of Steel is the Best superhero movie! The Soundtrack is simply phenomenal! Thanks to Zack Snyder, Thanks to Henry Cavill, thank to HANS ZIMMER!
This tune always sounded to me like "Whether you like it or not, I am coming, and I am coming with FULL FORCE! And there is NOTHING you can do to stop me!" 0:20 to 3:10 Just listen to it with the mind set above. 1:59 is when you hear the "horns of ill-portent" that indicate "I am here now!"
Robert Tucker I agree completely. It's like a "Wherever you go, whatever you do, whoever you ally yourself with, won't stop me from plunging you into your grave"
"Whether you like it or not, I am coming, and I am coming with FULL FORCE! And there is NOTHING you can do to stop me!" Weird, I said that exact same thing to my girlfriend last night.
"My name is General Zod, & I jave journeyed across an ocean of stars to find you, for sometime now your world has sheltered one of my citizens. He will look like you, but he is not one of you, to those of you who know the whereabouts of his location, the fate of your planet rests in your hands, to Kal-El I say this, surrender within 24 hours or watch this world suffer... The consequences."
Ok people give alot of flack about the "Save Martha" bit from BvS but to those that don't read between the lines here when batman asked "why did you say that name?" Lois replied "It's his mother's name." That made him stop not because they're moms share the same name it's a bit of a ptsd moment not making a joke here and because he realized superman is an alien that was raised on our values and when he did batman had a "the hell am I doing?" moment. He was fighting somone not of our world yet understands what humans can be if we choose it that's what made him stop
Dont you love the scene where Flash thinks he is going to speed around him and catch him from the back and Superman's eyes follow him the whole way around like "I see your a$$ coming towards me, you aint sneaky"
This theme perfectly describes who Superman is He's a freaking powerhouse He's the symbol of hope and justice He's the reason why those kids have their MCU He's the reason why modem superheroes exist He doesn't need to be dark or edgy he needs to be a symbol of hope which aspires humanity to greatness not how most the modern media represents him being dark and villainous I hope one day we may get true Superman and yeah please give this man a good game already
@@milesr4609 modern superheroes* There were many superhero like characters even before the phantom and the magician..Superman is the face of modern superheroes
Underrated movie. As a standalone movie is great. Great OST, great action scenes, great costumes, great chemistry between Cavill and Amy, and Cavill is a great choice to portray Superman. One of my favorite superhero movies of all time, along with TDK, Watchmen, Logan and Spiderman 2.
man of steel has become one of my most favourite movies of all time due to it's epic music. I will never forget the epic feeling of dread the film gave me when I was watching it for the first time! so much goosebumps!!
lets be honest, the mcu has good movies but there isnt a memorable sound track but the avengers, the dc however has the most memorable sound tracks of the two universes and i love the dceu as much as the mcu
I can’t even describe the amount of intensity that comes off of this. You feel every beat, your pulse elevating, knowing that this isn’t just some petty squabble, this is a battle amongst gods, and the outcome of this battle will determine the fate of the human race
