In the subway I work at, one time we started getting extremely busy much earlier than we would have normally anticipated, we were so busy that we couldn't answer the phone for potential call in orders. Well during this rush a dude comes into our store and waits in the line of like 7 or so people that has basically reached the door. and me, my coworker and supervisor are all working together the best we can to get through everyone best we can as it is and once this guy gets up to order he looks around and is like "hey guys, I'm sorry I tried calling ahead but nobody answered so I've got a list of a lot of sandwiches here" I nod, say alright and ask how many he needs 22 sandwiches in one order.. During our suddenly busiest day ever in our working memory with our store xd It was interesting trying to squeeze this guy's order in-between many other customers but by the end of it he gave us like a 100 dollar tip in cash after paying with card.
@@MWBlueNoodlesnormally we would too but the thing was, we where SO busy with the rush with only the 3 of us that we couldn't answer the phone And they already tried to call ahead.
omg not good glad he gave you a big tip though. it would been annoying if he didn't give you a tip and complained about it. he seemed very nice about it it. still that sucks
I remember working at Subway a year ago the thing I hated the most about working there is when I was about to close and just at the last minute someone walks in and I have to get everything out I hated that and the biggest order that I've ever gotten with my brother was an online order that had about 16 sandwiches they were half they were like mixed 6 in and foot long and it was a pain
Would you rather? 1) have many small orders (10 individual sandwiches)OR one massive order(10 sandwiches in one order) 2)If you had one toy you could bring back, what would it be? 3)"I like carrots" How would you reply?
I remember working at a grocery store when I had fisherman come through my till. If you don't know anything about fisherman, they stock up on food before going out in boat, because they need to make sure that if anything were to happen (loss of fuel, power, shipwreck), they need to have food for a couple extra weeks just in case. If they get home safely, the food is divided amongst the crew. Anyways, their usual bill came between 2-3k CAD for a 2-3 week trip. Though I did have an odd customer while I worked at Tims for a very brief time (3 days), a lady asked for a medium coffee with 27 sugars in it. She was a marathon runner, and this was before energy drinks became popular (so early 2000s).
I feel ya bro, I had a transgender coworker they worked at a Tacobell and he/she would jizz in the sourcream called it "jizzzam" I suggested they call it "cumshot"
i know this was not a question for me lmao but i also work at subway and i’ve had people order chicken bacon ranch subs and ask for no bacon and no ranch, also had a guy ask if he could have a tuna sub on bread out of our proofer once- he was not happy to hear that it was still dough and that he could not, in fact, have his tuna on it
One time I was working close and it was 11 at night and this guy comes in and orders 8 or 9 sandwiches so I asked him why so many sandwiches this late and he said there was a movie shot going on and they had just finished, subway was the only thing quick to get open. Really nice guy left a tip and was pretty cool learning about what his profession was.
No fun being stuck behind a customer like that either. Many years ago as a kid I was at a local subway to cash in a coupon (bought from a charity fundraiser) for a free 6 inch cold cut trio, drink and cookie....ahead of me were 3 women ordering subs each with a list for a kid's team. Must have been at least a dozen subs. 3 workers helping them. I waited like 1/2 an hour. Good thing this was before subway offered to toast your sub it would have been even longer. For what it's worth I could tell the workers were trying to move as fast as they could.
I got hired for my first job 4 months ago and I definitely feel way more for these videos as I can relate to the horrible bullshit retail and food workers go through. Remember, if someone is being unpleasable to you as a food or retail worker they clearly never worked retail or food.

the largest online order i saw my subway get was at 8:45pm (right before close), my coworker hadn’t shown up and there had been a line out the door since 5:00. hadn’t even gotten a chance to finish prep. the order was probably 8-10 sandwiches, i started sobbing as it printed out and had to call my then-girlfriend to drive over so i had the strength to make them lmfao. trauma ✨ but we’re good now
@@veronicafoxx27 have you ever been overwhelmed with stress before? nearly four hours of constant line out of the door majority of people would break down,, either you’ve never worked food or you’re putting on a facade
the way i understand u 100% i went thru this so many times. the feeling of being so overwhelmed by the amount of orders and impatient faces looking at you is a different kind of pain. i quit like 2 weeks ago!
@@veronicafoxx27 how would it not? i get why they did. they were alone and had been busy all day. they haven't done prep which is what they were supposed to do on down time, but never got it. they then got an order for at least 10 sandwiches. they were probably all somewhat customized too.they were stressed and tired. i would have done the same. have you not worked food or a stressful job?
the biggest order i’ve ever made was this catering order for a baseball team, it was like 25 subs all cut to make 50 6in. i couldn’t imagine making 500 sad whi when my location only typically has 78 pieces of bread total in our cabinet at any given point. second biggest was this lady who ordered 12 footlongs for her and her family- she also had the dreaded list 😅 but she was super nice and left the team with a huge tip!
your vids make my mouth water because i used to live in Dubai and subway is my fav fast-food place but there are no subways in Kathmandu where i recently shifted to
I love your videos Milad, they always make me smile. I love how even when the worst Karen comes into your Subway, you’re the kind person you are and just keep your cool. I really like the person you are and please keep going with your videos. Thanks for the free cookie!
Okay I might have just breezed through a dozen or dozens of your vids in one sitting after I discovered the channed O_O didn't know I liked watching people make food
I work at Publix, so we're making lots of subs and doing hotline at the same time, plus slicing meats and cheeses for customers. Imagine having an online order for a bunch of subs, yet you still have to serve in store customers and you're understaffed. Fun times!
I got a story, but it's from McD. Small town, only place to eat, there's a prison nearby. For good behavior, once a month the prisoners get to order McD. Naturally they don't bring them all to the store, but instead give them a list of everything on the menu, and they mark the quantity of what they want. We would get those forms in the morning and make everything by lunch time. Those dudes went hard too, like 7 big macs, 4 large fries just for 1 ticket. Not having the pressure of a customer waiting made it chill though, wasn't really that bad. Did something similar at a Wendy's but for a local factory, it was just 80 of the same meal every Wednesday.
Years ago I worked at an office where the owner would pay for our lunch. I hated when it was my day to go get lunch from somewhere like Subway because nobody's sandwich was ever easy and I felt awful for the people behind me who just wanted one sandwich who had to wait. There were only four of us, but it still made me feel bad.
you're just an amazing person. id like to let you know that honestly people like you, just sharing humbleness and joy by stories and updates, you deserve the biggest cloud of sparkles and flowers and love for god's sake. keep being an inspiration!🤧🫐
I remember giving out a big order back in high school while I was working for Subway. I don't remember the time but it was dark out, maybe an hour til closing. I was just chilling and I kid you not, whole sports team came in and all wanted sandwiches. I had to make like 15 different sandwiches. The store was right next to my high school so that explains why some random school sports team came in. It was pure pain, peko...
Someone also once used 2 coupons which were deals for 3 subs each coupon. So we made 6 subs, but they wanted them all built half and half so we did 12 6 inches basically. When we were charging we learned both coupons were expired
