21:05 When he said “at the end of the day I’m alive because the lifeguards, police, and chopper got me” I was surprised because I’m an American and I’m used to people saying “at the end of the day I’m alive because of God” etc. and it was kind of refreshing to hear someone give thanks where it is actually due. Not trying to insult anyone, but at the end of the day it was those people who helped him.

Brooke is amazing, very inspiring and great attitude. I have friends who are female aussie cops in central Sydney, it wasn't easy when they first joined years ago. I'd feel very confident if Brooke came to rescue me. She must inspire many girls, and guys too.

I love how close the lifeguards are; they're practically best friends. The look on Whippet and Kerrbox after he makes a break for it, gets caught and turns around with Whippet swinging beside him was priceless. Pure joy. It's very wholesome! =D I also find it nice that the tourist who, after being rescued, asked questions and educated themselves on how rips works; how to avoid them and how to escape them. It's wonderful that they actually bothered instead of laughing it was a meer scratch.

Seas and oceans are different. Seas can be land locked or nearly surrounded by land, but they aren't the same. For example, the Caspian sea isn't an ocean and the Atlantic ocean isn"t a sea

It’s nice to see the guy who wanted to learn more about what to do if he got caught in a rip. Usually the people are just like ‘ok great thanks’ and don’t know what to do if it happens again. But he wanted to learn more about what causes a rip and I think it’s because Brooke explained what a rip is quickly. She’s an amazing lifeguard.

I brushed off lifeguards when I was like 10 and caught in a current, the lifeguard asked if I was good and I said yep; then swam against the current for 3 minutes, and asked for help. 😂 the lifeguard just sat there watching me and I thought he was being cocky so I remember so well I was determined to get out myself.

One of my scariest beach experiences was in California. I was at a beach and park I grew up going to, and had been walking the rocks looking out at the scenery. All of a sudden, I see a Park Ranger approaching, holding two cases. As he approaches closer, I see he has a solemn look on his face. He asks me "Have you seen the body?" And I just look at him all confused and say "Come again?" He informed me a woman had fallen off of one of the 70 foot cliffs near me and into the water. I told him I did not see or hear anything in the last 20 minutes, but scanned the area and my pictures to be sure. She had ended up falling on the other side into the water you could not see from the cove... The beach was evacuated and a helicopter started to search the water. I feel shook by it to this day anytime I go to the beach...
