A square yellow sponge named SpongeBob SquarePants lives in a pineapple with his pet snail, Gary, in the city of Bikini Bottom on the floor of the Pacific Ocean. He works as a fry cook at the Krusty Krab. During his time off, SpongeBob has a knack for attracting trouble with his starfish best friend, Patrick. “Sailor Mouth” is one of my favorite episodes of SpongeBob! The VA’s insisted on saying actual swear words while recording their lines for the episode, which did happen. But ofc, the swear words were censored with dolphin noises, which was actually funny imo.

I really like how the Sailor Mouth episode teaches kids to not swear, and how they use dolphin noises as censor beeps. It’s actually a pretty good lesson to teach kids in my opinion.

The only reason “swear words” are considered “bad” goes back to the Medieval England when the ruling Norman elites thought common Anglo-Saxon words such as fuck, shit, and many others were “vulgar” and “uncivilized.”

"I'm with Stupid" is definitely a somewhat sour taste of the golden era of Spongebob season 1-3 but it's still good and funny Spongebob truly didn't deserve that for a long time I legit thought that when making marble artwork you just need a small tap and hope it goes well like it's a lottery ticket or something

Sailor Mouth is such a fun episode to watch, especially when you're older and have some idea of what they're actually saying. It's also fun to try and read the lips or listen to the syllables and guess which word they're saying. Fun Fact: In a TV documentary celebrating SpongeBob's tenth anniversary, Chris Pine makes a cameo and says "Sailor Mouth" is the best episode of SpongeBob ever.

The procrastination episode is relatable as hell. 😂 I've been in that situation a bit, especially during English class. I'm in college (might finish by winter next year), and English classes are hard for me because I am not a creative writer, and the stress leads to procrastination. Thankfully, I managed to control the procrastination. The Sailor Mouth episode cracked me up when Mr. Krabs stubbed his foot. I'm a clumsy person, so I've bumped into stuff a lot and hit my elbows, knees, and toes as a result, causing me to swear like Mr. Krabs did.

They originally tried to say made-up words to "pretend cuss", but eventually Tom Kenny asked "Can't we just curse and have it be censored?" Pretty much instantly, Clancy Brown raised his hand and said in his Mr. Krabs voice "I'd like some of that!"

I’m also a writer (tho not officially yet. I mean I’m writing a book and working on it) and I sadly have a problem with procrastination. I love to write, however when it comes to literally everything else I have a bad relationship with work because of how my dad made me work on the house growing up. Example: I’d be visiting my grandparents for TWO days and come back to the living room trashed, bottles on the floor, the garbage full, and IM expected to clean that in only a few hours. Daily.

Like, Patrick knew at first that he had an agreement with Spongebob where he would pretend to be dumb to make Patrick look smarter by comparison. But Patrick got so into it that he literally forgot about the plan and began thinking spongebob really was dumb, without realizing it himself. But that also just shows that patrick is still just as dumb as ever. He literally forgot the plan while the plan was being executed.

Because literally after airing, the scenes of Spongebob looking out to see the carnival and Patrick lotioning up Sandy is removed as well as the car crash. I always thought I ignored it when younger due to the sudden removal but when watching the episode on a early DVD set, the scene was always there

2:59 So this carnival scene and the car-crash scene that followed it were deleted in all airings of the episode in 2005, and brought back in all airings starting in 2019. And i didn’t start watching spongebob regularly until i was around 7 or 8 years old (I watched it before that but really didn’t get into it until i was a bit older.) So while i’ve seen this episode several times, i never actually saw those deleted scenes until around a year ago.

The one with the art class reminds me of my experience in of band class during middle school where my teacher constantly criticized me when I did notes wrong (my instrument was the clarinet like squidward something i joke about with my friends) then in seventh grade I forgot my glasses and once I made the wrong note he said I should’ve brought my glasses and it made me upset and I started to struggling with my self esteem and I was already feeling like I had no talent as everyone else picked up the proficiencies in thier instruments faster than me and once I got to pick classes for the next year I took the opportunity to get out of band (the school I went to had a policy where we couldn’t back out of the class) and I never picked band classes again

Big fun fact regarding the episode sailor mouth. According to a RU-vidr by the name Vailskbum he talks about that there is an uncensored version of this episode where you actually hear the SpongeBob and Patrick saying the bad words uncensored this version has yet to be released to the public but somewhere in Nickelodeon studios is a actual VHS tape of the episode. I would pay money just to watch the uncensored version of this without hesitation

14:30 Yeah it makes no sense. Like it’s one thing for Patrick himself to forget what his parents look like, and that doesn’t surprise me since it’s patrick. But these two literally showed up on the same day his REAL parents happened to be visiting. And on top of that they seemed to know a lot about him. If you think about it there's a very logical reason as to why everyone says Squidward's art is terrible even though most of his work is actually very realistic and really not that bad. He only paints himself, and he's ugly
