I’ve gotten into such a habit of watching this before bed every night for months now. It’s unbelievable how much it relaxes me. You’re honestly such a breath of fresh air in a negative world. You’re doing more than trimming hoofs now. Don’t change a dang thing

Something I really like about this content is how he displays how fulfilling work as a skilled tradesman/laborer can really be. With the push for people to go into university and seek expensive higher education, there’s been in the last several decades a view of working in such professions as being “beneath” them. But work like this is soooo necessary and becoming excellent at any given trade can be exceptionally worthwhile either monetarily and/or in meaning, because you’re providing a service or good that brings great value to peoples lives. 😁👍

Graeme, I grew up raising cows, horses, chickens, turkeys, pigs and taking care of a garden on a mountain on a farm. I hated the animals, not like they had it out for me or anything. But I hated getting up at 3am everyday to feed and water them, from the time I was 5 till 18. The cows were dirty and only seemed to like me when I was feeding them. I knew that they just were hungry and thirsty, but when your young, taking care of animals feels like a punishment. ANYWAY, I love your videos, because even if I hated the animals, I understood they had no animosity towards me, they were just trying to live. The care you give the cows reminded me that even mad, I knew that to keep them happy, the care must be put out. You obviously care, and it shows. It is nice now to see the animals getting care, and I don't have to do it. Well done from a old retired farmer from Spokane Wa. USA. I have a crappy channel, but will probably never get the subs you have. I just complain about things on my channel, while you are helping cows have a fruitful life. I will continue to watch your vids. Thanks GP! Aaron (of Puppy Pot and Chill) Peace

I'd just like to note that beef cattle can be a bit difficult to handle for trimming than dairy cattle. They aren't worse tempered than dairy. It's mainly because the dairy cattle are worked with for milking every day. Beef cattle don't have that amount of regular daily handling. (Also have to note that I haven't read all the comments so this is possibly repetitive).

Lovely drone shots of the village at the end, and even though the Church was a ruin at least someone still tends the ground.👍

Thanks for another great video. I grew up around beef cattle and finally I understand about why sand cracks occur and why they're hard work to get rid of. I found this video most informative on many levels and particularly enjoyed the dreamy footage from the drone. It's been a long time since I was in Scotland but your videos remind me of so many memories.

I have a new found respect for cows. I’m from NYC and cows were just something we passed by when driving upstate for vacation. Never gave it a second thought. Now I so love cows and Believe they are amazing creatures. Farmers are also heroes. Hard work. And the bulls - Don’t get me started on them.

I really enjoy your videos! All the soft mooing, music and footage of the countryside is so relaxing. Scotland is so beautiful! In 2017 I was just a skip across the isthmus in Port Patrick for the day. Looking forward to another visit to Scotland in 2022. Keep your videos coming they always have interesting content!

I only wish I could make sheep shearing videos the way you make hoof trimming vids. Thanks so much for sharing your little slice of paradise with the world.

Beef cattle don’t even lose much weight when they have their calves because they don’t produce as much milk as the dairy cows do. We had black angus cows at our farm in Texas.

farming is like drainage and roadworks as in it takes a certain type of person to go through the physical pressure and the crap weather and yeah it gives you a dry sense of humour!! best wishes stay blessed

How can you tell it's summer in Scotland? The rain gets warm! What do you do in England, if you don't like the weather? Wait five minutes! I'm here all week!
