If you've ever been in a Bass Pro shop, it's more like Disney than Walmart. The crowd typically isn't the type where armed guards are needed, so they do not likely have police officers moonlighting as armed security like you typically see at a place like Walmart (my local Walmart anyway). I hope the bad guys didn't finally figure that out and now start targeting them. Good for that employee for at least giving them a little confrontation, but he did not look like he was physically prepared to take on 2 big guys so can't blame him for not taking it up a notch.

Dude with a broke clavicle escaped the hospital and had a warrant for his arrest. He CAME BACK 4.5 years later! He hid his bike in the Bushes by the employee parking. He snuck in through the dock and stole Bob's effing new bike. We saw on camera where he guys his bike and took it. We left a 📝 note. He came back with the police! AND CLAIMED WE STOLE HIS BIKE BWAHAHAHAHA. The police arrested him cuz he used a fake name and we found Bob's bike in the Bushes. I kept the thief's bike for a year then found the real owners name while doing some repairs and gave it to them. Turns out it was their late son's bike and they gave me $500. Man... felt good to do good in the community fr

I disagree. Prisons are already overpopulated with serious violent criminals. It costs an average of 24K tax dollars a year for just one prisoner. Why should tax payers bear the burden of increased taxes just because some people like you want vigilante justice? I do not care if someone steals from a store. It is not my store or my problem. The burden is on the store to file charges against the criminals not people like me. I would prefer it if police prioritize violent criminal offenders and get them sent to prison over petty thieves. There are levels to criminals and violent offenders should be sent to prison as priority imo

Instead they have to owe that money back to whoever they stole it from. Except armed robbery which should carry a long prison sentence plus loose their gun rights.

I don't think it's so much about the people stealing, it's about the companies retaliating against their employees who either try to stop it or call the police on the thieves. The employees get fired. It's one thing to allow these people to leave with product, but when they fire their employees for calling the police on shop lifters, that tells me it's open season on merchandise for everyone. They WELCOME it.

This is step one. Step two the hammer drops on everyone.

Except the IRS will come after you for not paying your taxes. They don't give a shit about some thieves stealing a porto potty from Bass Pro Shop.

I truly believe that is the goal; they want so many people willing to be horrible that the government will HAVE to step in and take control of everything. There's no logical reason to add 87K new IRS agents AND give them weapons training when there are more than enough agents to handle the taxes side of things, and there's absolutely NO reason (presently) for them to become an armed federal force to deal with what they currently perform as duties.

I went to college in Chicago and like to visit occasionally. It's easy to like the video cameras on every corner downtown because "it keeps me safe." But when you think about every ball scratch is being watched and catalogued it's really damn creepy. And the cheap, easy, quick fix is an ancient solution, punish criminals. Logic says something is up. I am just an idiot.

I'm a melanated man, Your right, this should be all over the news. The people that know him should also stand up. Let that be a relative of mine, I would turn him in myself. If the cops would have tackled him or had to take him down, they would say he only stole something he is being picked on. He is scum. I run a business, I don't like thieves.

San francisco is like 8% black they have a lot of thefts. It ain't just blacks. But if thats what you want to think so be it.

I could tell you about my daily journeys and what I witness, but that would put a damper on all of our spirits. In some areas in America, there are so many thieves that this would literally be an issue. Great concept, but I can see why we don't have it. We have some areas in fact where a Walmart can't even remain open.

Don't know if you've ever been to a Bass Pro Shops, but locking criminals into a store with an arsenal might not work so well for employees and customers.

BP ...well thieves come in with cable cutters and snip, there goes a $2000 cross bow.

Every video store I visited in the 80s and 90s kept the actual tape behind the counter and the empty cases sat on the shelves, to prevent larceny, and only after you paid did you receive the video tape which they placed inside the case you selected.
