He's pretty much Martial but central version. Martial drifted wide left and free up space, Zrikzee drops deep and free up space. Rashford, Garnacho and Bruno will really enjoy his playstyle.

The prospect of having two young high potential forwards in the team is so exciting to me. The shift from Ighalo Ronaldo and Cavani signings is encouraging. We have tried to sign the established stars but now its a new era and its time we go back to building our own superstars like Sir Alex did.

Pretty much everything is agreed with both Zirkzee & De Ligt. Both players have given the green light to join us personal terms aren't an issue regsrding either player while we've agreed a commission package with Zirkzee's agent aswell. The fees involved for both players aren't an issue so I think once the Euros are over things will quickly pick up. Hopefully the Ugarte signing will gather pace within the next few days aswell

Hojlund scoring would have been heavier last season had Rashford and Garnacho made better passing decisions in real-time. Ten Hag can be held accountable for allowing the selfishness to persist for as long as it did. Toward the end of the season, Hojlund was given the ball facing the goal further away from the penalty area to be able to work the approach on his own and we all saw the results. Get the commitment to the team mission being #1 priority throughout the squad starting from pre-season training day 1.

If our fowards, wingers and attacking midfielders can each contribute 10-15 goals and assists a season, that will be far for useful than a single 30+ goal striker.

Zirkzee will play the same role that Ten Hag tried with McTominay.. And Zirkzee be much more productive in progressing the ball in possession by feeding the ball to Hojlund or the wingers.. McTominay was quite useless at that.

i was on holiday and spoke to italian football fans , they said zirkzee is in italy seen as the new zlatan as hes strong fast and has superior control . they could not believe zirkzee is not in the holland startup line on the euros .

The arrival of Ruud means United didn't necessarily need to sign an experienced striker, because he is the experienced striker that can teach these kids to be ruthless in front of goal. And hopefully the voice that tells the wingers to cross the damn ball more often.

How we pay for the transfer, whether it's 100% upfront or 50% upfront, doesn't affect amortisation. If we sign Zirkzee for £40m (£34m transfer fee plus agents fee £6m) on a 5 year contract then the fee is amortised at £8m a year no matter how the fee is staged. How we pay the fee just affects cashflow. If we're looking to not pay the whole fee upfront that suggests we're planning a lot more business beyond those we already know about. Exciting signing. He's just the sort of forward we need if we want to play with inverted wingers. I would have loved to see Olise join us, a front three of Rashford, Zirkzee and Olise could give us a lot of goals. Not sure what it means for Hojlund, I doubt we'll be playing the two of them in the same team very often.

What I love about these transfers is that they are all good ball-playing players, and that is a huge boost to our squad.

This summer is shaping up to be a very good summer overall. The footballing structure is in place, the coaching structre has had a shake up with some real talent coming on, zirkzee and de light both look to be a matter of time for good fees. We where never going to work miracles but we really have rebuilt the foundations thats huge. Bring on next season

Would prefer a central midfielder, a central defender, a proven right winger and a replacement for Bruno long term. Hojlund is only going to improve with RVN as a trainer.

Amortization isn't the same thing as paying a transfer fee in instalments over time. Amortization refers to when a transfer fee is reported for FFP and PSR across the duration of the player's contract, whether the transfer fee is paid upfront or in instalments.

FYI, transfers done by release clauses are amortised just like any other transfer. You’re mixing up amortisation (I.e. depreciation) with how the transfer is paid (I.e. the actual cash which is usually paid with an upfront amount with the rest in instalments along with bonuses, etc). The issue for United is cashflow which has significantly declined over the last few years hence negotiating for a higher total transfer fee but less cash up front (but slightly higher amortisation than paying the release clause in full).

It's probably a good deal, but he's not a great finisher yet and our attack still needs more to improve. I can see with him on the pitch Rashford will be closer to the areas he likes and will score more
