It was a cruise. I bet you there were probably many other people that were drunk on that cruise at that time. I would certainly hope that if he goes on a cruise again that he doesn't drink quite so much.

Perhaps not, but it's certainly a miraculous feat that he stayed afloat for 15-20 hours and was found right before he gave out his last strength. I would've believed it was some divine intervention because it's dumbly incredible luck and perseverance that he's alive

They did cover it in the full news segment in GMA. Inside edition just a took a partial take of it. He fell overboard at night and when his family didn’t notice him the next day, they immediately notified the cruise personnel. So he was in the water for like 12+ hours without anyone knowing. Its a miracle he survived.

(11pm)After he didn't come back from the bathroom, his sister searched for him for hours before reporting him missing(at noon the next day). Security then began to search the ship, talking to crew and passengers. The ship turned around (2pm) and began searching the waters along the route they took. Coast guard was called (2:30pm) and they began search and rescue by sea and air. An alert also went out to all mariners in the gulf. Crew on another vessel spotted something- it was the man. A coast guard helicopter headed to the spot and hoisted him up. Absolutely crazy Edit- I read a separate article that covered this in more detail
