Those Tow Truck drivers were rude. I get it that equipment can fail but asking the customer to call the office for another truck with the attitude she gave to him was very unprofessional. I understand why that guy was annoyed when he ask why does he have to call again for another tow truck.

These girls are clearly full of themselves and entitled. They think he was embarrassed, I don't think so. He didn't want to deal with dumb and dumber. They were supposed to check everything before starting their day. The customer is right and they're wrong. They should have made things right and got another truck over for him instead of telling him that he's the problem and he's gotta figure it out himself.

Don’t know how it works in the USA but here in Canada we call it a PTI (Pre-Trip Inspection) and it involves making sure every component of the vehicle used daily is in working order at 24 hour intervals 😂

Imagine when you're eating out and the waiter comes to your table: "So yeah I forgot your food but here is some grape juice, would you like to order again?"

A dot inspection of this type of equipment is to be performed on a daily basis. It's clearly the operators fault.

The customer was donating a car. He was literally donating a car to charity. All the tow truck had to do was hook up and tow it. It's what a tow truck does. In fact, that's ALL a tow truck does. The truck didn't work. The women basically said - "Our own equipment doesn't work. *YOU* have to call for another truck. It's not my problem." Horrible. The man was correct. No good deed goes unpunished.

These ladies are super unprofessional. They are poorly trained and they still have a lot to learn about the best and easiest ways to get cars on the bed. I've been driving tow trucks for about 10 years and I can spot a lot of errors in every clip I see of them. If I showed up to a scene and my tow truck wasn't working I wouldn't leave the customer hanging I would call and send one of my other drivers. I would be responsible for setting up that toe and making sure another truck is on the way. If these ladies ever just left a customer hanging like that they wouldn't be driving for me anymore.

Why did he have to call their office for another truck? That's BS!! Usually they would wait until another truck arrives. He sent his daughter cause he didn't feel like dealing with them and had Other things to do.

Rude Customer Service! They acted like the guy was in the wrong, when they were the one's that didn't check the equipment. One of the ladies even said that the guy was their first tow of the day, so they should have made sure that everything was in working order before they left the yard!

He was right. He wasn't acting ridiculous. The tow truck driver was. I wouldn't trust them. Must be token women tow truck operators for today's PC culture. Professional operators don't have those nails. Heaven help the customer if either of those two women break their nails on hooking up the customer's vehicle. I worked with women tow truck operators since the 1980s. I knew over half a dozen tow truck company owners who were women. They were more professional, more customer oriented, more knowledgeable then most male tow truck drivers in the L.A., Orange Co., San Bernardino/Riverside County areas. There is no way either of these two would have been put up with by the professional women tow truck company owners back then. They would have been treated like the men. These 2 operators would have had to shape up or leave. And because of the respect the women tow truck company owners had among their peers, these 2 would've had a heck of a time finding new jobs. More than enough said.

I don't condone the customers behavior but the girl had zero customer service skills and the entire argument could have been avoided. A simple apology and acknowledgement of their frustration will often go a long way.

The tow drivers should have made sure their equipment was working before going to the tow location. Maybe they did check, and something happened on the way. That's fine. But don't tell the customer "you have to call the office" to solve the problem. The tow drivers should have immediately called the office to figure out a solution, AND informed the customer what they were going to do to solve the problem (such as "we'll take our truck to be fixed and, if it's a quick fix, we'll be back in 1 hour and, if it takes longer, we'll send another truck to come to you within 2 hours", or whatever solutions are possible).

Weirdest P.T.O problem I’ve ever seen, especially since the bed still had movement. I call BS. I’ve seen hydraulic pumps intermittent like that. Could work just fine, then quit, then work again. People commenting here have no clue the workings of a tow truck and the possible problems that can occur with them. However, I’d still fire them based on their customer service. Let’s be real here though, that doesn’t look like a high standard place.

Customer service is awful. When your equipment breaks you don't tell the paying customer THEY have to call the garage back, you should apologise and call to arrange another truck to respond. That passenger was rude!

Precision towing is not that precise then. All of my guys made sure that their truck was working properly before they left the yard. If it wasn't then that truck doesn't move.
