So happy to get advice for relaxed hair because everybody wants to go back natural and this is not for me at all these natural wave. Appreciate the video ❤️
You were born with natural hair about it’s not for you kmt. I hate hearing that bullshit. Those chemicals can cause serious health concerns down the line. I’m happy black women are going natural. Say no to relaxers
Malika Saabira Hey girl, of course in general, natural hair is healthier than relaxed hair but that doesn’t mean that just because your hair is natural does not make it healthy by default. There are plenty of unhealthy natural women out there. We know that relaxers can be harmful if not properly put in. We only get them once a year so it’s not something that’s super constant in our hair anyway. Either way, you still have to put in practices to keep it as healthy as you can. Relaxed hair works for me, my lifestyle and it’s how I want my hair. Thanks for your opinion and concern though :)
@@twolala1 Thank you so much for maintaining your Channel. Really odd that someone without a relaxer would post a comment here because the video is for relaxed hair. ANYWAY I appreciate your tips!!
I’m literally here because I’m natural, got a keratin treatment and now that I see all this new growth I’m freaking out!! It completely slipped my mind that this would be an issue. 😭 so thanks for tips, ladies!!
• i am so glad i found you guys channel. i get so much backlash for having a relaxer. when my hair is down my back and healthy. i give myself a relaxer once a year and my hair is better than ever.
Slay With A Disability - Exactly. These people who assert that hair isn't healthy relaxed are just insane. If you don't take care of your hair or relax too often it will break. Relaxed hair can be healthy if cared for... Like these guys in the video.
My natural friends look at my hair as #hairgoals but they are natural...I used to be natural and they dragged me when I went back to the crack. But I use the stretch method and i made my bra strap goal last year. Now they are asking me about the diy products I make. Shout out to Curly Proverb
So happy i found you guys . I have thin relaxed hair ( i treated my hair so bad) now im focusing on get back my healthy relaxed hair but its hard to find good advance since 90% of ppl or back to going natural.... keep up the great work ladies
I've been using a little battery operated scalp massager every night and my new growth is coming in like CRAZY! I've also been taking the Hubners liquid colloidal silica. I think you were the ones who talked about that. It really does work. It also makes your skin glow. My new growth has never been this thick.
I'm forced to stretch my relaxer during this Quarantine usually I do 12 weeks, but now that salons are closed I'm having to go much longer. Thanks for your tips I pray my hair doesn't break off 😭😫
Shanice Bell same! I usually relax every approximately every 3.5 months. But now I’m a couple weeks out that range and trying to maintain! Good luck! We gone be fine! 😊
Also, as our hair grows out the more and more we get further from our relaxer, is it normal for our ends to look like they need a trim? My ends look healthy but it my hair kinda looks uneven when I did a slick ponytail as if I needed some of my ends dusted 🤷🏽♀️
Amber Carter i usually get my hair done every 10-12 weeks... my hair grows pretty fast and I suck at keeping my new growth straight lol it just puffs up anyways.
After stretching for 14 weeks my new growth starts to feel dry and look like a ragga muffin. If I stretch any longer than that my hair starts to break off
@Mariah9231 Don't be afraid to add moisturizer to your new growth. I love Shea Moisture Leave-In Treatment with Jamaican Black Castor Oil. Hair will break because it's dry and becomes hard. The moisturizer/Leave-In will soften it.
If your hair breaks off just do your retouch girl. Not everyone can stretch. See some relaxed youtubers who have great advice on this. Not worth it for some folks... I'm one of those, my new growth literally comes out in 4c hard dry stuff lol
I can go to 5 months. Try braiding the hair and leaving it for a month. Put your oils and moisturizer on it. I would do blow outs especially the roots (wash and set) when its time to wash.
I love rose water also! I purchase mine from my local ethnic store/market for only like $3 for a large bottle. I normally mix it with distilled water (half and half).
I relax my hair twice a year as well. It has helped my hair so much. My hair is so healthy. I'm very used to stretching. I do alot of leave in conditioners and deep conditioners and oils and grease. Which helps with the stretching drastically. I really found this video helpful for me. And creme of natures coconut oil leave in conditioner, is the bomb 💣 i use it alot.
Hey great 👍 video!!! I was really impressed with the new growth straightener never heard of it !!! I stretch as well my longest stretch was 11 months but I got tired lol so I do twice a year as well and I wear braid outs and I co/wash and during the stretch I oil/ deep condition with coconut oil and Jamaican black castor oil and follow up with macadamia hair mask it’s done wonders for my hair I also love the Jane carter line . Yea relaxers get a bad rep but I believe in what you ladies said and for the fact that it can depend on who’s applying it because they may not know what the heck they are doing lol
Thank u so much I was freaking out Cause I've neverr experienced New growth when relaxing i guess it was ncz i was always relaxing but I dont go to salons anymore So now I was freaking out aand i was considering going back to natrual but no I cant manage it im gladd i found u guys
Have you tried taking collegen peptides and using rice water. Drink aloe vera juice. I do the bagging and greenhouse effect. I have twin daughters and their hair is at hip level. The envision method is great
Hi Sylura! ( beautiful name by the way), A couple of people on here have suggested rice water and we really want to try it. I haven't heard of collagen pepides for hair, but I would love to find out more. Thanks so much for sharing these tips too :) Yay for twins!! :)
I like to apply my Shea butter whipped cream the night before shampoo and I use aphogee deep moisture shampoo which is amazing in adding moisture which makes the new growth more manageable. The balancing moisturizer of aphogee also helps a lot but I leave it on my hair longer than 10 minutes
Hello ladies. Just stumbled upon your videos today. Love them! I too have long relaxed hair after 2 years of wearing weaves. I just started a heavy fitness routine. I sweat a lot and struggling to keep my roots from getting too thick & puffy between salon visits when she washes & flat irons my hair. Any advice?
I love Rosewater. I gotta stock up on some more spray bottles. I buy them from the Organic store here & I have Lavender oil & Cantu leave in conditioner. I have box braids installed so I gotta figure out how to wash my relaxed hair without removing my braids or is is necessary to take them out & install them all over again ?
Blue magic hair grease helps. (sorry ik a lot of people don't like using grease) but when applied to the scalp and brushed through the hair it does an amazing job of coating the new growth without causing too much build up. doesn't have to be blue magic I'm currently using Africa's Best Super Gro and it does a great job of keeping it soft so I experience less breakage when I'm brushing through it. if you have a great shampoo and conditioner that also helps a lot. just experiment find out what works for your hair and don't get discouraged if other people's advice isn't what helps. everyone's hair is different. good luck on your journey 😇
wow very good tip's I'm going to try the butter one and rose water I been hearing about it a lot. 😆 because I'm stretching 4months and I used aloe vera juice and i mix it with water I put it on my new growth and the ends of my hair 💄🛍👑✨💖🎶💁🏾♀️🌹🎀😊
Hello, I have a question? I sleep on my back and now I have a spot in the back of my head where my hair is broken do you all have any suggestions to help me. I do tie my hair up every night in a wrap so I don't no what's wrong. Please help thank you so much
I still get my hair relaxer and these days I stretch my relaxer but the tangling is a problem with me. The only time it’s not like that is when I finally get a relaxer
Thank you soo much im gonna try those tricks on my natural hair as well.. especially on my roots because they are always dry and frizzy ❤️❤️❤️i hope it works on my hair❤️❤️🤗thank you soo much girls...am not relaxed but i love you guys❤️❤️😊and i love you are hair too❤️😊😘thank you again❤️
My hair hasnt been relaxed for 4 months...and it very thick at the roots and it hurts to comb out so i dont comb it out. Buh i think i need to😓Thanks for the Advise
Ooooh, girls!!! You're lifesavers!! Will definitely try them. I want to stretch for a year, this year, cos i am reacting to I don't know what! But, it will be worth the training !!👍👍😂
GIRRRRL I can't do no yr stretch. But I was doing the 3 months stretch then I fell off the wagon and started relaxing every 2 months. But now I notice my edges are thinning so I'm gonna do it again. My goal is 3 month
It's the Sephora Collection Rouge Cream Lipstick in shade R49 Bellydancing and I went over top of it lightly with Fenty Matte Lipstick in shade Griselda. Thanks Rochelle!
Thx for the share. Honey is a humectant.and I live in a temperate climate. The only time I will use it is only for summer. But the baggy / greenhouse affect I can't use Shea so I use mango
Eventually will try the 6 months stretch but right now Im at the every 3 months mark. I will try the mango butter minus the honey( humectant). After the stretch how new growth do you get and far down does your beautican relax the hair. I think ya made a video on that I will check that out
Ebony-how often do you use the it's a 10 & Carol's daughter black vanilla detangler? i get relaxer every 3 months. my hair is short & growing back after coming back from natural-which i've went natural 4 different times & natural does not work for me. thanks. by the way-i do freak out when i see new growth-but i am in the process of trying to train & maintain it. love the warming up the honey-baggy method-sleeping with it on-& next day wash-love that idea. love your videos.
I use it like three times a week during the day before styling and going out the door. We don't put products in our hair for the first 2.5 weeks after getting it washed, so this is usually in like the third week of my wash stretch, however when I'm in like the 10th month of my relaxer stretch and new growth is doing the absolute most, I use it more especially when it's close to wash day.
Great Ideals guys! 😃 I have seen great reviews on the rose of water I've never tried it but I've seen lots of women using the rose water as a moisturizer they would add rosewater glycerin and aloe vera or somewhat add conditioner with the rose water and a little oil still on the fence about the rose water but I'll see thank you guys so much for sharing God bless you💕🙏
Sapphire I saw one with glycerin already added in. I hear that’s an extra moisture kick but not everyone’s hair responds well to glycerin, but I may try that one next when this bottle runs out in a few days..lol
Sapphire my hair isn’t has long as theirs (almost waist length) but I use the rose water with glycerin. It helps with dandruff as well. You can get it from Whole Foods.
Leggs thank you much, my hair just comes to my shoulders I may try the rosewater and glycerin but it's not something that I am thinking about right at the moment, thank you so much God bless you💕🙏
Thank you ladies! Great tips!! I'm loving the bold red lip! The baggy method does wonders for my hair. I get a relaxer every 13 weeks so about 4 times a year. I could actually stretch longer but I workout and I sweat a lot. If it wasn't for working out, I would def stretch longer but, I hardly use heat on my hair (maybe once a year). I wash and roller set my hair once a week. I was wondering how do yall workout but only wash your hair once a month? The sweat makes my hair smell bad if I don't wash it weekly. Do you use something on your scalp between washes?
Yes! We don't sweat much anyway unless we go hard core on our workouts which usually happens when we are about to get it washed anyway, but we still keep it wearable and "smell-able"..haha Dry shampoo is awesome but we don't use it too much and rosewater helps my scalp with any buildup as well. Full video in the works on this work out hair routine. You're getting the inside scoop :)
TwoLaLa Awesomeness!! Thanks for the upcoming workout hair video! That's my #1 concern. I would love to stretch longer but I sweat in the gym so my new growth puffs up a lot. It takes too much work to lay it back down because I don't use heat. I'm not a fan of dry shampoo but sounds like rosewater will help. Thank you! Thank you for the relaxed hair tips! We appreciate yall!
Erica/Erika & Ebony-i forgot to ask a question please. i am 6 weeks post relaxer. i am going to hair dresser next week-week 7-to have my hair deep conditioned. is it too late or i am too far beyond relaxer to get my hair wrapped? is that too much manipulation for 7 week post? i do not wear buns or protective styles. i am not a wig girl. should i just have my hair dried with a cool dryer & let it hang down? it's short-it's not long at all. thanks.
i mean having it wrapped at hair dresser after i have it deep conditioned & yes also wrapping it a night. i do not do protective styles-i do not like wigs. should i just keep my new growth moistened about 3 times a week & just leave it down? thanks. Love you girls videos.
Every woman I knew who stuck by that old "every 8 week" routine ended up with VERY thin and fragile hair. It's a big mistake. Personally, I prefer three times per yr.
Your video does not saw your hair with any new growth. You are filming this with your hair freshly relaxed. Why didn’t you show your hair with your new growth? Or you needed to do better close ups because I did not see any new growth of hair. You were putting the products on your hair and your hair looked relaxed. We cannot see your new growth!
