Thank you. Sadly I lost my 15 year old min pin yesterday to trachea collapse. I'm devastated. Just found your video. Apart from medrol vets don't recommend natural additives which is a crying shame!
First off, I want to say how beyond adorable Teddy was. I'm looking for preventative measures for my little guy with collapsed trachea some other compounded issues and I noticed the date on this video and went to double check if any comment might end up being inconsiderate and I am so so very sorry for your loss. I can very, very much imagine the grief you've experienced and my heart hurts for you, as I love mine intensely and have forever dreaded the day they someday leave me. He and his little face I'm sure has touched a whole lot of hearts, as it took a few minutes seeing him to touch mine. He was so lucky to have you and you him. Thank you for sharing your experience with that precious little guy.
I’m so beside myself grieving my little toy poodle Prince Luie…I lost him 2 weeks ago on collapse trachea….if I’ve only would had known and not just listen to my vet, I’m positive my little Prince would be still alive; I blame myself for not taking actions for myself rather trusting a vet.
@@pixiesplantation I’m cringing nonstop…I’m blaming myself for putting too much trust in the veterans he visited, rather checking into it myself what I could have done.
Waiting for my throat gold to arrive, trachea issue in my Chihuahua has us up at night worrying. Thank you for all the additional tips and I am happy to hear the product works.
Thanks for sharing Teddy's experience. My little Maltese started honking yesterday (she's 8) and we got the diagnosis of collapsing trachea today. Vet didn't want to put her on meds yet. My doggie also has a low grade heart murmur too. She slept through the night last night but the honking came back in the morning. She was fine during her long walk today...we walk for an hour every morning. We use Voyager harnesses but I'll switch to the one you recommend...we used to have one of those. All we can do is do our best to give them a good quality of life! Thank you! Best wishes to Teddy!!
So I got the v-neck Gooby harness the very same day I posted my earlier comment (day of diagnosis). My dog has a habit of pulling and she always made a gagging sound with the Voyager harnesses but not so with the Gooby! Despite the pulling!
I have an elderly Beagle that has had collapsing trachea for a while and it is now progressing. Just wanted to pass along some information that I’ve recently found. The first is an excellent supplement that has an excellent list of lab grade ingredients to strengthen cartilage from a company called Tumeripure. Go to their website and look up the ‘Hip and Joint’ supplement. Since my fur babies condition is progressing I’ve began looking for another treatment and have found an older treatment that vets used to use a long time ago which is an anabolic steroid called Winstrol or Stanozolol. It is so old it’s not produced by pharmaceutical companies anymore so you have to have a prescription from your vet and gave it formulated. I’ve found a pharmacy called Wedgewood in Arizona that does this. This is a three month course of treatment which strengthens the tissues and cartilage and evidently is a permanent change so your pet does not have to stay on this med. I’m including some links I’ve found. My vet and I have discussed this treatment and are going to give it a try as it sounds very promising. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21496393/ www.vin.com/apputil/content/defaultadv1.aspx?pId=11147&catId=29562&id=3846454 m.facebook.com/nt/screen/?params=%7B%22note_id%22%3A10221555999442492%7D&path=%2Fnotes%2Fnote%2F&refsrc=deprecated&_rdr csu-cvmbs.colostate.edu/vth/Documents/pharmacy-stanozolol.pdf
@@pixiesplantation Thank you so much! That Gooby harness made a world of difference. I got one for her maltipoo housemate even though he doesn't have any issues. He pulls on our walks so it's a great choice for that reason too!👍
I have the same thing, a Maltese with a trachea issue and a heart murmur, he is 13 (muffin). I bought the throat gold, and a purifier (coming soon), and I will buy a humidifier as well. I noticed that he coughs in one room of the house more than others, so it seems environmental and the purifier will help. His vet prescribed a cough suppressant, it’s “something…codon”. It’s a pill that I cut in 4 and I give it to him only when it’s really bad. You seem to love your baby at least as much as I love mine, so Im sure you’re taking a wonderful care of him, I would add one suggestion, maybe trim his hair short to keep him extra cool. And if you live in a cold weather area, maybe buy a sweater to compensate for his warm fur. Thanks so much for the informative video, I gave it a thumbs up.
Wonder how you feel about CBD drops? My friend used them for her dog. She liked it. I’m having trouble because it’s going to be almost impossible to get all the dust out of my room and keep it gone. I have a humidifier I just ordered air purifier. The vet gave us medication. I am ordering that throat gold I hope it will help her, I have a 2.5 pound 11 year old pom. She also has a heart murmur but controlled with meds and seizure issues once again controlled with meds but the whole thing is so scary so thank you for having this it’s not very common to find any videos like this on the subject. ❤ thank you.
have you looked into Collagen supplements? I've heard it can strengthen the trachael rings/cartilage. I've also thought about giving my dog turmeric supplements for inflammation.
Which children’s robotusin do you use? Formula? Also I have tried Benadryl (children’s) at night to help with 😴 sleep when coughing is bad at night for my 13lb chihuahua mix with a probable trachea collapse.
Don’t use essential oils unless they are certified pure - like Doterra brand. Otherwise they could have fragrance which is the worst thing for your pet. And only use in an open space so that they can get away from it if they want.
I'm on the second 4 oz bottle.. Not sure how long I need to use it.. It works, just wondering if I stop will it come back.. Oh, you'll see it within the first week
With a lot of the stuff you’re talking about unfortunately, it seems like you’re just trying to make royalties from Amazon. I’m really hoping that the information you’re spreading is your true review on the product.
If that were true I would have affiliate Amazon product links listed in the description of this video….and I DON’T. The original video has product links but they are not affiliate links and I don’t make a dime off them. They are simply there to help the viewer find the product.
