Welcome to our new VLOG on here! Vlog 44!
Today we enter the Manchester ship canal and head towards Ellesmere Port.
We are in a convoy to 5, the front boat has a leader on who directs the way, the 3rd (middle) boat has another leader on incase of emergency, and the last one has a leader on to make sure we all get off ok.
The smell when you get to the industrial part is so strong and I think it’s sulphur. It was awful!
It’s a huge expanse of water and it’s quite alarming how large the ships on there are.
Fantastic experience had by all… was interesting and we would do it again if we had to.

Epic trip on the MSC, I just loved the views and the music was fab. You captured the wind turbines spinning round in time to the music fab-u-lus, was just amazing! Your humour clicked in when you saw those 'balls', you so make me laugh, great commentary Helen. 'Our Lin' ❤.

Morning Helen and Tony, Hope you and Captain Bruce are well. Nice trip along the Manchester canal, It must have been daunting passing the large ship in the narrow boat. Interesting, but imagine when the canal was in its heyday. I remember in Norway, on a very small boat and a massive ship heading towards us. The woman navigating our boat wasn't going to give way, but eventually did. Must have had the same feeling for you with the tug boat crossing in front of you. Have a good week. x

We loved seeing you guys on the ship canal. Not many of us do it and you all to come in by the museum as well perfect. Glad "forget me not" didn't skip a beat out on the big wide wobbly canal. Not going to lie, matching life jackets might have been a nice touch. Keep cruising much love.

Well that was a nice little jaunt along the MSC, I see you exited at Ellesmere Port near the Museum. I see you got up close and comfortable with a real ship. You were not too far from the Shell refinery at Stanlow and in the other direction from Trafford Park industrial estate. either of them could be the source of the bad smell depending on which way the wind was blowing but as any old Yorkshire man would say "Where there is muck there's brass"I hope you're feeling better ,you're looking right bonny. Its still very warm for fall here but I see some negative numbers coming up in the next few days. Today it was 21c so can't complain. Take care and happy cruising, where are you heading now, are you going to cruise all winter or hole up in a Marina for the winter Luvz ya lots Traa fer now XXX

They had no choice as they would have been stuck on the river still with the lift being closed. The couple had to leave the boat on the river until we weee escorted off.The company had to sail it off though - not the holiday couple. 3 of them came ok board
