Mǎnzhōuguó jiàn guógē (Manchukuo Independence Song) was the National anthem of the Empire of Manchuria (more commonly known as Manchukuo), a Japanese puppet state, from 1942 until the fall of the empire to invading soviet forces in 1945. The Empire was headed by Emperor Puyi, the last emperor of the Chinese Qing Dynasty, deposed in 1912, though he remained in practice a prisoner within his own palace, and the state was run entirely by the Imperial Japanese Army.
