The jack (the high lift type) ... Those are farm Jack's. They work great and used for high lifting when you need more than a bottle jack can do. **Also make sure you cheep out the warning on those Jack's when releasing them to jack down. They use them on heavy stuff so that go-kart won't be a problem. Great job. I hope you and your family have happy holidays.

The Jack was a piece if junk and would have never worked. Took it back and apparently a lot of people have had that problem out of that brand.

All I seen was all you guys miss how to raise and lower the jack. Like the person above me all you had to do was lift that little lever up till it locks in place and boom move the handle up or down till you hear a loud click and then the same the opposite direction till you hear a loud click again and boom thats how its done. ANd then to move it down just move that litle lever in the down position and then do the same as before. I diden't see anything close to that in the video. Don't be scared by saying you diden't know how to use it. Don't be shy to be fair not many people outside of the farm or full size off roading will ever see thoes kinds of jacks.

Happy Birthday Braxton.I hope you get at least 100 more./ How about using at Least the middle hole in your brake cylinder,if no the top hole.The pressure you're getting is because you have a short throw and aren't using the piston fully.

Awesome video as usual. Why don't you go to your local pick and pull junkyard and get a set of rear calipers from a Honda or Toyota and Fab some brackets up and use those for some stopping power? Idk just a thought

Do yourself a favor with your brakes and switch over to steel lines instead of those plastic lines. You will get zero expansion from the steel lines, and reduce the brake fade problem tremendously. As for flexible hoses for the suspension, you can use automotive or motorcycle style rubber hydraulic hoses, and they will be nice and durable. That will help tremendously, and be much sturdier than those plastic lines in the event some branch snagged the line and tore it loose.

About your brakes.... I noticed when you were installing the lines that you did not put the little insert in the line to keep them from crushing closed from the compression fitting. It may be why your brakes don't work good.

That Jack is a bit overkill for the weight of that machine. But it looks wicked cool. Also is the tach hooked up yet.? I'm not complaining, it just didn't appear to be moving. The lights are kick a$$.! Great job.!

I wonder if the brakes aren’t working that well because to get a full bleeed you need to use the top nipples of the caliper. Gravity maybe is messing with it.

If I'm not mistaking the Piston on the master cylinder needs to be bigger than the Piston on the brake caliper. I could be wrong. I think I seen that on one of doc sprockets videos a while back.

the brakes you are using has 4 cylinders and you are only using 2 to compress the pads which is causing stress on pistons inside the calipers

I think your brake problem is they are plastic and expands under pressure and not providing enough pressure at the calipers, maybe try running steel or copper as far as you can and only use the plastic at pivot points . Just an idea

Brake issue ?? In my opinion the brake problem is how you have the rod mounted to them (pull lever) , theyre mounted to the lowest hole (requiring more strength to pull )(14:30) when it should be mounted to upper hole (mounting hole ). just a thought , suggestion !! Love the vids , keep it up !! Whos that new guy (NO BEARD) ?? LOL

You do need to be in the top hole on the master. You can also gain pressure by bringing the pivot point of the peddle and pivot point of the actuator rod closer together. The second master will not help at all.

Uh. I'm certainly not an expert on brake systems or anything... but I do know they rely on pressure. Anywhere from 800 to 2000psi of pressure. Nylon (plastic) tubing is what this cart appears to have for brake lines, which will NOT hold that kind of pressure. This will likely cause the lines to either swell up causing awful brake performance, or they'll rupture and the brakes won't work at all. There's a reason your car has steel brake lines with reinforced rubber lines at the wheels, and the race guys upgrade the rubber hoses with stainless braided lines at the wheels.

Brakes need steel lines, man. Brake system pressure is anything from like 800-2000psi and nylon plastic hose can't come close to transmitting that kind of pressure from the master cylinder piston to the caliper pistons. I would guarantee stainless braided lines would be a 90% improvement!

No they wouldn't.. These brakes don't make that kind of pressure. Otherwise the manufacturer would give you braided lines.

Drilled and slotted brake rotors will work alot better for stopping compared to your solid rotor.

You dont' need that jack.. Just bring a jack stand.. you can pick the buggy up an put it on the stand yourself.

You sure that jack is bad? Looked like you never pulled the lever up far enough to lock it into the up position. Useful jacks but have to treat them with respect; they'll bite you in a heartbeat!

New sub here. We bought a Deuce with a 13hp Honda. Did you find a way to stop it. I have mechanical brakes and was thinking about buying the hydraulic system from gopowersports like you did, based on you video, buy now that you mention its still not right, I don't know what to do. Use metal brake lines instead. Plastic lines make it feel to sponge

Yes, plastic lines will make it feel spongy. Good call Willie. Plastic expands and you loose your braking pressure. Metal lines are best. For the moving rear suspension use some brakes lines from a car, they won't expand like that plastic will. Braided brake lines are also a good option. You get everything free from GPS, have them send you quality lines and be safe. I have to mention... Having a heavy tool box that high from your center of gravity is going to make it lean even more in the turns, can possibly cause it to tip over on sharp right hand turns. You have some good ideas and make great videos but remember, safety first. Build it safe and wear your helmets. I look forward to this build. PS you can make a rain/water deflector for the existing air cleaner. Picture a coffee can type cylinder upside down over the air filter, Bigger diameter but not touching filter and hangs down below filter. No holes in it ! You can put your Red Beard and GPS stickers on it :-)
