Just came back from Vegas last Monday, stayed at Mandalay Bay, but I didn't eat at the buffet, too expensive for me. I ate at the noodle house, the Starbucks, the Citizens and the Food Court. As far as buffet, I ate at the Southpointe buffet down the street - cheaper and good! But Mandalay Bay wasn't all bad, I did win 80 bucks on the slots there! :)

You can crack snow crab with your hands...disconnect joints then crack towards one end, when you reach pro status the meat will come out in one piece...I'm still practicing 😏😄

With crab, take the fork tongs and place the crab shell between 2 tongs and pierce the shell back and forth. No cracking needed. It cuts it similar to scissors.

The food there does not seem that Wow. After watching this it seems like it is just a couple spots above Circus circus. Derek you know what would be really interesting is a video where you list all the buffets you have been to from worst to best.

@@farmboytom2 Let me share with you a little secret. It's not the meat that cause chronic diseases or cancer, the meat, the fat are essential for our health. There's nothing called essential carbohydrates, only essential FATTY acid. 80% of our brain is made of saturated fat. The lies you heard about eating lean meat and avoid the fat is just so dangerous for us. The main culprit of most of chronic diseases and cancers: SUGAR and carbs. Although the carbs when go into your body will turn into sugar. We eat too much sugar compared to hundreds of years, if not thousands of years ago. Fruits, also contain sugar, not good for you. Fruits and vegetables nowadays are sprayed to death with glysophate and round-up. Either go keto diet or carnivore diet and trust me, you will cure anything pretty much. I don't get paid for telling you this, just wanna spread awareness to all the lies the pharmaceutical comanies and even medical doctors many of them are clueless about proper nutrition!

There should have been horror movie music in the background when you discovered the empty fried chicken pan! I would have tried the pineapple sauce on the bread pudding and the chocolate mousse over the pistachio mousse EVERY DAY! A lot of the food looked good, but does seem to be way overpriced especially for the limited seafood options. The salmon looked good, but I would have dressed it up with salad bar cheese and maybe dressing. Another great video Derek.

You get a BIG THUMP UP from me. I am a german and my wife and me come to Las Vegas every year since 1996(!). I very much like your Videos, and in this special case, i totally agree, the Mandalay Bay Buffet is heavily overprized. We have been fans of the Mandalay Bay, but sadly, the Buffet quality has dramatically dropped in the last years, where the price have been risen to much. And, as a matter of fact, you can see that every evening. No lines at the buffet, no line to get in, many open seats etc. That has been quite different years ago. The Mandalay Bay Buffet was a really good buffet (and actually a beautifull room), but they brought it down to mediocre quality and far to high price. Really a pity and if someone from Mandalay Bay is reading here: you did a bad job and we dont know why. Its so sad, we were so delighted by Mandalay Bay, but that is over now. The Buffet is too expensive, the food is lame. What a pity!

I’ve given this buffet 2 chances several years apart and it was lousy both times- I decided never to give it a third chance and clearly it was the right choice- it doesn’t appear that they’ve made any attempt to make any improvement. DEFINITELY skip this!!!

In his own way I think it's a message to vegans that, "look, this is all they have to eat here for you guys, maybe not worth it." Cuz it's a shame that more buffets don't have more to offer in good vegan selections. If you go there and spend $33 on that meager vegan buffet, it's def not worth it. :)

Trick to cracking crab is placing the cracking thing along the widest part of the leg and maybe doing it in several places until you get a crack along a seam and then open the crack and kind of peel. Snow crab are the toughest because the shell is kind of soft. You are correct it does need that soft and it's pronounce Euro. And, praise heaven, you finally put enough gravy on the slice of turkey.

Yea agreed. Its a19.95 buffet. Dude you use your fork and run it up the crab leg. It keeps the meat in tack. Then you get all the meat to dip in butter.

For the price it is looking disapointing. It should at price level with Gold Coast, Orleans etc. I recently saw a video of the Ceasars Buffet. It seems there are worlds between them. I am staying at Mandalay in mid july and have a voucher. So i will figure It out. 😎

In reference to your crab leg eating, look at video at 9:12 and you will see the leg section had been cut for your ease of eating. at which time you would just pull apart and the meat is there for you to enjoy. jmo

Thanks for posting. I almost stayed at Delano but changed to The Palazzo last minute. I would have been extremely disappointed with that Buffett. I actually didn’t eat at any buffets when I was there last month. But I will check some out next time I travel there.

I live in Vegas and I've been to all the buffets on the strip, the best ones for me are The Wynn, Bellagio, The Cosmopolitan and Caesars Palace, oh and MGM. They are worth the price in my opinion

You need to do a video where you leave the bbq sauce on your face from the first plate til you get home. I saw you drip the turkey gravy in the au jus.

You’ve got a great facial expression when you put something in your mouth and it’s good, I miss the cost and weather it’s best to come to each one at a certain time of day, and would you recommend certain buffets at certain times,meaning this ones great for breakfast but not dinner or this is the one for lunch, not dinner,great job 👍thx for showing 👍keep smiling👍
