I love Mandissa and she's more successful than idol could've gotten her to be with them controlling her music. God had much bigger plans for his child. God Bless You.
Rest in paradise to the beautiful and super talented Mandisa who was so graceful, poised, very transparent and she was so inspiring to countless people around the world. Her music was so beautiful ❤
It's crazy how Mandisa ended up being the most recent finalist so far on American Idol (and one of its only 5 finalists ever) to win the Grammy. Shows how stacked and diverse this season's finalists lineup was.
So proud of how she never have up! God was saying, "Just watch ne glorify myself through this wonderful soul." God showed that He - not Simon or the judges - had the last word in Mandisa's life. He pronounces her worth. It makes.me ponder what amazing things would God do through us if we only let Him (not people) have the last words in our lives. Sometimes I feel His eagerness to show Himself strong in and through me, only I let myself limit him. For her courage and determination, Mandisa is a hero to me.
Have you read Mandisa’s book? It is an amazing insight of her time with American Idol… behind the scenes, bonding with the people, her prayers and listening to God, and her perspective about life and purpose. Amazing!
I remember when Taylor won I and my friends slmost threw up and I threw a book at my T.V.~~He was the worst~~We loved Mandisa and now she's gone and I don't know to react to the dissapointment that year~~I swear something was fixed that year~~So many great singers were let go~~Something was seriously that year~~At least a few of the good ones became very popular and made it big time~~Ya'll know who I mean~~I adored you Mandisa and my heart is breaking, but I know you are safe in the arms of our Lord and I know you are alright~~Loved you all the way sweet girl and your beautiful voice~~You are so very missed~~I wish I could have been with you all the way for your much needed support~~You are and always be loved by so many of us as well as miising you and your beautiful voice and personality~~My heart is still breaking~~😥😥😥💖💖💖~~💖💖💖💖💖~~
Yeah but at the end she may not have won the show on American idle but she won the hearts of very many people who listen to her and became a stronger person because of what she's gone through😘😍🙏😇💛💙💜💚❤💗💖💓👍 👍
I have loved Mandisa when I was was in high school that was when I was 15 years old. She has helped get through a lot in my high school years. When my boyfriend dumped me I turned her on and I never went back to my ex until I moved to Georgia to tell him I forgive him. That is what Mandisa did for me. American Idol was just a milestone in her life to launch her to success. Simon you should never judge a book by its cover. Mandisa has been through a lot in her life from depression, cancer, being an only child of a musical family. Rest in Peace Mandisa I will forever be grateful for you I will always love you forever
Well Kelli Pickler, Chris Daughtry, and Mandisa were eliminated and all have highly successful careers. And Katherine McPhee has launched an acting career and Bucky has had solid music career as well. Funny thing is I haven't heard much from Taylor post idol and even Elliot has faded over the years, with really only 1 hit song. Mandisa and Daughtry seem like the biggest music successes and neither of them got a record deal out of the show.
When this first aired in 2006, I was 18 and I’d met Keith Urban at Newark Airport about three months earlier. I remember thinking it was really cool that his songs were being featured on American Idol. (He’s a really nice guy, by the way!)
They can’t say “And the winner is” at the Academy Awards anymore because it is offensive to the stars egos, but what is said on this show, especially by Simon Scowl, is ok? Hollywood hypocrites.
I can't really help but weep 😢 crying 😭😭😭😭 uncontrollably over her untimely passing 😢its so very sad she was completely broken and fell a victim of depression after this elimination it honestly destroyed her as a whole but Mandisa was so GREAT at wearing a million dollars smile in times of unfortunate SORROWS 😢 and I am IMMENSELY sorry we lost her this way her death for me personally has been indeed difficult disturbing and honesty troubling i am praying 🙏🙏🙏 for the family particularly her elderly mother😢
The bottom 3 this season made no sense!! Mandisa and Paris could blow! Mandisa was probably the most successful out this bunch!!! Girl got a grammy in CCM!! Rest easy sis!
Thank you that makes so much sense. I mean why do the category if one of the judges hates the kind of music? That's where they messed up in the show. Everything would have been different if this didn't happen.
there was an intro for the top 12 before the opening sequence can u post that cause the song that is played during the intro i really liked it and now I can't find the song
I remember this season, all contestants were amazing, and I had thought Mandisa would be on the Top 3, but she's going home too early. My fave is Elliot, he's so handsome here
Her elimination didn’t stop her from becoming one of the best Christian artists of our time. She continued to inspire us with her music until she went to be with Jesus. RIP
9:34 Fake Katherine pretending to be sad but can't hide the smile on her face because she's relieved that her biggest competition just got eliminated. Mandisa is a much better singer than she is. If AI was based off of real talent Mandisa would blow her out of the water.
If I was basing elimination on that night's performances I would've eliminated Taylor (still would have Mandisa in the bottom 3 though) and if I was basing it on body of work I would've eliminated Ace.
Different from some unfair eliminations, Mandisa asked for this (despiste her talent be enough to keep her). She messed up on top 10 night/had a little controversy than she followed with this lame performance? I really believe the fact she wasnt in the bottom 3 actually hurt her/made her coast for this week thinking she would be fine.
