@@TragicJade That’s not gacha mate.. I think you have seen too many heat videos that you start questioning yourself on whatever a pixelated chibi drawing is gacha or not.
It is a species of Argentine wolf, its habitat is in the north of Argentina, Rosario, Chaco, Formosa, Misiones and the Amazon rainforest of Brazil, it is commonly called Aguara Guazu which in the indigenous language means big wolf, but superstitious people will calls the wolf
Fun fact, thier diet is around 50% vegetarian. Specifically a fruit in the nightshade family called the Wolf Apple, as it's the staple food of Maned Wolves. *also prey items are limited to smaller animals and insects. Meaning the deer and wolf are just friends goofing around :)
Yeah, they discovered that they are obligated omnivores in the zoos. They were given the standard meat heavy diet for canids... And they were getting sick.
That is adorable! That deer doesn’t feel threatened at all. She’s very calm and is playing along with the wolf. She just slowly walks back to him when they get too far away so they can play some more.
@@irgendeinname9256 this does look like a pen. If these were wild animals the manes wolf would probably be actually trying to eat the deer, or would have ran off a long time ago.
"They eat seasonally abundant fruits and vegetables and are particularly interested in lobeira, whose name means "fruit of the wolf." It is a small tomato-like berry that, along with other fruits and vegetables, makes up 50 percent of the maned wolf's diet. They eat small mammals such as rodents, rabbits and insects." It's not the same thing.
@@vicaraven916 Manned Wolves eat 50% meat. It’s a lot different than a deer being an opportunist and eating a bird. And yes, I also saw the video of the deer eating h Th e bird, it’s one deer. That’s sll
@@Guineapig-yo6fi It's not just one deer. If an animal is lacking something in their diet, they will try to make up for it. There have been many documented case when animales like deer, cows, horses, etc, will eat birds and rodents to supplement parts of their diet because plants aren't enough and they need the protein (or they're just being opportunistic, opportunistic carnivore is a term). Same thing with why, unless it's a cat, most carnivories eat plants in some way.
It's kinda eh? The deer is defensive, and slowly wearing down, the maned wolf keeps going for the deers rear quarters using as little energy as possible, half heartedly....could be play or just a hey if you let me I eat you situation
@@RadarLeon Maned Wolves don’t eat deer. They don’t eat large animals in general, they eat small animals like mice. A substantial chunk of their diet is plant matter. And that deer would be sprinting away in an instant if it was actually scared. Or trying to stomp the Maned Wolf, of which it’s doing neither. It’s not trying to butt or ram into the Maned Wolf, either. The deer is actively going out of its way to approach and take turns chasing and being chased by the Maned Wolf. The deer seems a little put-off and wary, but it’s blatantly obvious it’s not terrified and that they’re playing. No eating happening here!
@@duckles9784 The maned wolf is the only one in its genus as far, and closet living relative is the bush dog, i know this, the wolf apple is named for them, which is around 50% of their diet, this does not mean they won't attack larger things if it is easy. But again yes it could be play, it could testing the waters to see if it's easy food could be many things. I just know the deer doesn't like this, and the wolf is doing what other wild canines do when they want to take out larger animals at minimal risk to themselves go for the rear quarters and legs, doing this weakens the prey, and often can cause them to bleed to death.
The manned wolf is like a little kid at a family reunion and the deer - your poor cousin, who doesn’t really like kids, being chased around and awkwardly trying to escape the little ones without upsetting them.
Another fun maned wolf fact from wiki: "The maned wolf participates in symbiotic relationships. It contributes to the propagation and dissemination of the plants on which it feeds, through excretion. Often, maned wolves defecate on the nests of leafcutter ants. The ants then use the dung to fertilize their fungus gardens, but they discard the seeds contained in the dung onto refuse piles just outside their nests. This process significantly increases the germination rate of the seeds."
@@sidrum1010 Because I’ve seen a video of a deer playing with his dog buddy this way too, and they were raised together. That’s also how cows play with their dog buddys when they were also raised together. I watch enough of the Dodo channel to know that that is how horses, deers, cows and similar animals play with canines (and jumping balls. They love to play this way with jumping balls).
body language of the deer shows that she's not playing but she's not attacking either. if she were fighting more, there would be a lot more charging and stomping, she had plenty of chances to break the maned wolf's ribs. she does seem pretty scared tho
im surprised by how similar they behave! perhaps because of the anatomy of their legs thats quite alike, they seem to get along too and respect eachother's boundries (maned wolf not overwhelming the deer), this is a very nice relationship between two animals!
I knew a great dane that would play with a few deer almost every morning, but he was bigger than the damn deer were. They'd full on chase each other back and forth, he was a cool dog.
The maned wolf looks like a fox, is called a wolf, and is actually neither! The maned wolf is its own distinct species, the Chryocyon! They are omnivores and their diet consists of over 50% fruits and vegetables, they eat small mammals such as rats, rabbits, and insects. They are not pack animals and stay in monogamus pairs sharing a large territory. In short: Its not trying to eat the deer.
