Forward Aerial lol if they do a box set for demon slayer I’m gonna be salty because I’ve collected all the English translated volumes and it’s been kinda expensive cuz I live in Australia and down here it’s harder to get manga for a cheap price. But at the same time it would be pretty cool ngl. Also demon slayer is a pretty solid manga so try and stay away from spoilers because their are alotta them lol
@@codebreak1884 but yeah i haven't really been able to experience any of the other manga's you mentioned cause i'm poor. Although I think My hero Academia has potential to become one of the greats, as long as the fan base gets fixed...
ok but your library is set up almost exactly how I'd like to set up mine one day-- wall-to-wall dark shelves with a cube shelf in the middle. This confirms that it looks just as cool as I've always hoped it would 😍
I've been watching these manga collection videos like all day... and my favorite thing is how each dude gets out of breath talking about his stuff lmao
I'm on vol. 7 of monster right now. I'm enjoying it so much, I understand why Urasawa has won so many awards. I'm a fan for life and I plan to read everything that he has done that's been translated.
Great collection can’t wait for the comics collection to be honest with you. I think you should show your anime collection because ya know why not Great to see you back I missed you Lol
Honestly such an amazing collection. But even better in my opinion is the room itself, the setup for all of this stuff is incredible. Hopefully my collection can look similar in the future
Awesome collection! Once I move into an actual house (apartment life for now) I really want a dedicated library as well. I'm only at about half your collection now, but I look forward to catching up! Nice tour!
Okay that's awesome, thanks RU-vid for recommending this! I wanna start collecting manga, I had half the volumes of Soul Eater but thanks to having to move all but two got lost which still makes me sad, so I have volumes six and seven of that and the first two of My Hero Academia. I wanna collect all the My Hero stuff, complete Soul Eater (maybe get Soul Eater NOT! too), and maybe start the Pokémon Adventures manga, I read some of them at the library and online when I was younger and liked it plus I've always loved Pokémon so why not
@rose quartz Wow that's cool! I've been trying to get all of the My Hero Academia manga still and I now have volumes 1-9 plus some spin-off stuff, I still wanna get into the Pokémon manga but it's best to wait until I get a bookshelf because I have like no room. I've never read or seen Tokyo Ghoul but it's been on my list to check out for a while now, is it good? I've seen some mixed reviews of it before some people saying it gets bad at some point
@@sabrinasmith4793 Tokyo ghoul is good, so I might try to get the manga but the anime decided to throw itself in a ditch and its literally all over the place, personally I wouldn't watch the anime unless you watch the 1st season and only that
The Shonen Jump advanced logo never made any sense to me. There is absolutely no difference in the demographic it's targeting when you have Assassination Classroom under its umbrella but not something like One Piece. Great video, this is collector goals! I only started in the last year or so.
I think at one point I had around 350+ volumes including a lot of monthly/weekly jump. Late in high school I got more into music stuff and stopped collecting manga. You made me wanna get back into it haha. Awesome collection!
Nice collection. I really like the way yours is set up, it look really cool. I have a pretty big collection, over a 1000 volumes but I live in my parents house (I’m 20) so my room is not the biggest but I make do with what I can. I have stopped really buying manga recently. I’ve only bought like 40 or so over the last 2 years which was not a lot for me bc I used to buy way more. And I haven’t bought a single volume of manga for like 8-9 months. I’m more into collecting anime which I have a huge collection and continue to buy. I’m not saying I don’t enjoy reading manga at all, I still do enjoy it but I just enjoy watching anime a lot more, so I’ll continue to not buy to much more manga, only stuff I really want and honestly only when it goes on sale since I can wait, and focus more on anime which I also wait to go on sale. I’ll buy some stuff throughout the year not that much, but then in the summer and Christmas right stuff and sentai have big sales so I buy a lot only during those two time of the year. Anyway sorry for the ramble, nice video and good collection
Great collection!! I stopped buying Manga for the most part for the last few years to focus on American comics, but this made me want to catch up on some modern manga.
Jeez! I should have started here! WHAT AN INCREDIBLE COLLECTION!! I would love to just sit and talk with you about anime and manga my man - what a massive collection.
Great to see you back. I'd love to see your anime collection as well. As for a review, take your pick, but I'd like to see a review on that lone Fist of the North Star manga. It's frusterating that the series was never completed over here, but I'd love to hear about it regardless.
for Pokemon Adventures I think you should continue to Generation 3 because it is easily my favourite story out of all them, I personally stopped reading Pokemon Adventures after the Gen 3 manga because I thought Emerald ended on a perfect note.
Greatcoolman2 I might go that way too depending on my opinion after reading G/S. I’d just need to order the third and fourth box sets, basically. Coincidentally, I think Emerald is where those new omnibus editions of Pokémon Adventures are meant to end. At least that’s what I’ve heard so far.
wow what an amazing series. Im collecting myself. I got about half the volumes as you but some of the out of print stuff is super hard to find. Things like blade of the immortal, GTO, black god, lone wolf and Cub, Air gear, Shaman Warrior, Inuyasha. Hopefully one day i can get them all
Something I would recommend is Blood Blockade Battlefront (or Kekkai Sensen). Same author as Trigun. Personally, I love the series, and I think it deserves more love. Warning: Dark Horse has stopped printing it (and it doesn't look like they are going to finish publishing an English release), so it is ridiculously hard to collect. I have been trying to get volume 5 for years.
::wow:: You have Cromartie High!!! Not many people know about that series. 👍 Edit: Okay, I'm now in love with your library room! 😍 YOU HAVE BEASTARS!!! WOOO!!!
me 4.12.2020: 24 volumes, omg it's a big collection, and i got a manga that doesn't even have an anime adapion :0 me 5.12.2020 after seeing your collection: WAIT, WHAT THE-
Great collection! Weird... My Volume 17 of "Battle Angel Alita: Last Order" has the exact same spine as Vol. 16, 18-19, matching the Kodansha Omnibuses and the Mars Chronicles series... If it bugs you, know that another edition exist!
Damn I aspire to have a collection like this, I don’t know if you take recommendations btw but you should check out d gray man and Rosario Vampire if you haven’t before they are so damn good
sharebear421 I actually used to own part of airgear but sold it when I got married because I needed some extra cash. I’ve wanted to return because I really did enjoy it
@@omnibuscollector Yeah, same here. I have Cross Game and E21 so far and I'm waiting for Slam Dunk kanzenban and Happy! kanzenban (Naoki Urasawa). I hope they'll publish both of them.
Rey Tyler I don’t do anything special but make a decent living. My wife also has a really great job so together we do pretty well for ourselves. A lot of it is staying smart with how we spend and save. But this collection has been built up for the past 17 years so it’s definitely not like an overnight thing.
@@omnibuscollector oh okay, if you're happy with your family and as you are then I'm sorry I shouldn't judge someone without knowing them and I wish you and your family a great day.
No worries man I didn’t take any offense I just saw it as a joke about geeks not having lives in general lmao. I’d give more info but didn’t want to get people too involved in our lives, but my wife and I are very happy and make a very good living in both our jobs. My wife especially is the smart one who is helping for us to plan for the future in really great ways. She’s really awesome
I wanted to ask where you got your GTO manga, but most people past the age of 20 nowadays just say that it was out when they were a kid. So I guess I'm just unlucky not to be that old in order to get it
I'm surprised I didn't see Attack on Titan in your collection. I saw the special one, but not the original series. Do you plan on collecting that? Also they are making a colored version in 2021 fyi!
The colossal editions are the original series just in 5 in 1 oversized volumes so purchasing the original smaller volumes would actually wind up being superfluous as I’d have the same content twice
Are those Ikea Billy bookcases? I'm trying to find some new bookcases for my collection. I have 6,400 manga volumes, but I've had to put most of it in a storage unit and what I keep in my apartment is on these cheapo bookcases that have collapsing shelves, Like, the upper shelves are held up by the books on the shelves below. I'm trying to judge how tall the shelves on the Billy bookcases are. I dream of having a 2bdr apartment so I can have a library room.
Really nice to see ur library, but I have a question I want to start collecting manga so where do I can buy them I only find on amazon but some of them are pretty expensive
If I read something and it doesn’t stick with me I don’t keep it. I also believe Gantz will get the hardcover treatment down the line so preemptively sold them.
Israel Gaytan I read about evenly. I read weekly western comics digitally and try to keep up with those (about 40 issues per week) and then read all my new arrival manga before reading anything in my backlog (which is probably 20 books per month). I am quite a bit behind with all reading at the moment though, unfortunately. Hopefully I can have a free weekend to catch myself up
golden Dandelions I guess I give it the J sound in my head because Magic is said that way, and as far as I recall Magi as in “Gift of the Magi” is said with the J sound. Sorry if I’m wrong, I’ve never heard anyone say the name out loud before so I don’t have anything to compare to heheh.
Question for all you manga readers, Im thinking about reading Blade of the Immortal, Vagabond and Vineland Saga. I hear they are all really good but If you had to rate these 3 in order what would it be? Just started reading Berserk btw. My favorite Manga is Kingdom, really wish it was printed in English.
Vagabond #1 but its been on hiatus for like 5 years Vinland Saga has 1 of the best arc ever imo but the rest isnt on the same lvl Blade of the Immortal takes a few volumes to get good but after that its really awesome. The art is some of the best ive ever seen. (deluxe editions are coming out soon)
maxflier it was never completed in English, and now that it’s rather high in price on the secondhand market that’s kind of a double whammy against me wanting to purchase the manga. I’ve watched the anime and loved it so I assure you I’m disappointed that I can’t own the whole series in English. I think, and I could be wrong, that another publisher (Kodansha?) had released it to read digitally on Comixology, so I’m hoping that there is a chance one day that it will see a physical rerelease of the entire series. This kind of stuff is actually the topic of a video that I’m trying to put together (manga cancelled in the US)
