Thanks mate 😊 wasn’t the hardest repair in the world, but I think I’m “slowly” improving, and the new blue mat finally makes its debut next Monday 😂 Hope you’re doing good 👍
Nice repair. The Module you have in the rear is the Sound Module. You should open it and change the caps also. The Sound should be normal and much louder after it.
Japanese cabble controller are small because of theyre culture in having the game on the floor and also sit on the floor while playing. (usually older houses had tatamis and carpets). The AV and power cabble are usually longer. There are third party japanese controllers that offer big cabbles like Ascii turbo gamepad.
About Japanese controllers in general: setups had the console right in front of the player, so the cable didn't need to be long. Also this is the first run using an SHVC-CPU-01 board, which is unfortunately very prone to capacitor leaks and processor failures.
I've been watching your channel for ages now and always great to watch. Can you possibly try to get more sega mega drive games to repair because I remember when you got a huge job lot and I really enjoyed it ( plus I'm a huge mega drive fan 💯 )
Nice fix Mike. I wouldn't use an electric screwdriver on these old consoles, the screw posts tend to disintegrate when too much force is applied. I have a PS2 with no screw posts left 🤭
Cheers Phil, was happy getting it back to life, no idea what to do with it now though 😂😂 In the middle of swapping out a Switch USB-C port, I REALLY hate these things 🤣
@@1up_Gaming... well...I've got my SFC...it's actually right next to me on my bed..why? Because I'm packing dozens of boxes for moving to a new home...and my SFC gets special attention and care how i pack it..look after your repaired Nintendo..they're getting scarcer as the years roll by..mines a little yellowed but not too much..i had one and I've seen others where the lower shell is more yellowed than the top half..your top half is a bit more discoloured than the base..mine's about even on both
Yeah, euro telly but jpn console, as the other commentators have mentioned ruined, they do work on most EU/UK TV’s, even if it just comes up in black and white
@@1up_Gaming...yes...my SFC first displayed in B&W till I tinkered with it...then I got colour on my flatscreen...I've been pleased with the SFC ever since...runs better than a SNES...just don't forget these Japanese consoles won't run on our original SNES power supplies which are AC...SFC is DC only...I found out before i did any damage thankfully
It looks to me that you are using the wrong power supply as Unlike Pal Super Nintendo consoles Super Famicoms are DC. Never use NES002 as they are AC Power Supplies with Dc devices!
