Mang0 and Hbox "hating" eachother is one of my favorite bro-ships ever. They are endless entertainment with how much they make fun of each other but also both know its all in good fun
It’s been really cool to see them just mature and develop a mutual respect, despite their issues with each other, while both carrying the torch for the old generation.
I think it's also hilarious that the normally hyperactive and loud on stream Hungrybox is playing the straightman to an overly sarcastic and riled up Mango when he's usually more chill and blunt on his streams.
I was gonna say I expected the higher pitched guys to bottom and lower pitched guys to top, but my own low voice is an exception to that stereotype so nvm
It would have been way funnier if he was, in like a good natured "we can all laugh at ourselves" way. Not in a "sit him down so we can talk shit on him to his face" way
There's a lot of things he could get roasted for, but I think stuff like that aren't included because they can be malicious, mean, spiteful, however you want to put it.
i think when you go towards that route, your actually seeing leffen as a person more than just him being dumb as a well known competitive player for a nintendo all star fighting video game... and that route gets deep, too deep for just for fun entertainment banter as a stream idea... (the streaming vs minimum wage jobs doesnt even compare, showing the magnitude of damage lol)
Hungrybox admitting to not knowing shit about Melee to go with Mango's joke about Leffen's bias against Marth is doubly hilarious when you tune in to Hungrybox streams and hear just how fucking *mean* HBox is when he talks about Melee characters lmao.

I think it's cool to see the progression of their relationship, there was a point where they really did seem to hate each other but Mang0 probably just got shit faced and forgot, then convinced Hbox to get shit faced with him and he forgot too

Mang0 cant stand hBox because he has been Mang0 hard stopping since some years till recently where Mang0 has gotten better at the Jiggly match. Also it is attributed to Hbox being do8ng something else. Mang0 plays melee as if his life depends on it
They're such a good A-B personality type duo. Mango the talker, HBox with the gruff little adlibs and nods to the camera. They kinda give me a Penn and Teller vibe honestly

It received that name after Wobbles demonstrated its strong viability in NCT2 back in 2006, but he wasn't even CLOSE to the biggest abuser of the technique. He didn't *refuse* to wobble - it was a legal strategy when he was playing and it would have been dumb for him to not use the tools available to him - but the fact that it's named after him is more of just an odd historical affect than an actual reflection of his playstyle. Other ICs mains like ChuDat and Nintendude used wobbling WAY more than he did. Wobbles's playstyle tended to lean more on complex and/or flashy chaingrabs - most of his "iconic" games involved him using the grab>pummel>d-throw>nana-regrab combo, or some even more complex dysync chaingrab combos.

The issue I think is people see old videos from like 2009-2013 and think that's how they are now. They were just dumb teenagers like how I was a dumb kid growing up. They're adults now and aren't like they were back then. At worst Mango just hates how Hbox plays, but as a person you can tell they grew to like each other over the years and are friends.

These two have come along way, mango is still mango for like 3 decades but hungrybox looks more composed and takes the making fun of well, good for him.
By the thumbnal I thought Hbox and Mango where having a sick rap battle and as soon as Leffen walked in they decided to diss him together. It wasn't that far from the truth actually.
yeah....Mang0 is still the only person of the 5 gods that cries about being the goat. he needs to say it because he is trying to convince himself. not to take away from his feats, but at the end of the day, hbox's overall record is just as impressive, and done with a shitty puff, not fox. hbox is the goat, he just doesnt need to say it. mang0 said it himself, "ive never had a real job." mang0 needs melee to survive. melee needed hbox to survive. that is goat. mang0 is fragile.
Fun fact: I was at smash con this year, and after melee finals i went to hooters with my friend group and both hbox and mango were there LMAO (mango was drunk as shit)
