This album is definitely more of a grower sonically but it’s so well written and the execution of the concept is masterfully done. I’m not sure how much non Halsey fans will like it but I’m enjoying rediscovering this album when I listen to it . I’m not sure it’s my fave album of hers but I can definitely admire it.

"More" DESTROYED ME. Lyrics like "A couple years of waiting rooms", "finding god and losing too", "A flower bud in concrete", "A little screen, a photograph, mine to take " and so much more unraveled me completely. Taking about her miscarriages and wanting to be a mother...absolutely wrecked me and is my favorite on the album.

Daniela Lopez the single roll out- it was bad. And they only really did something with without me. Graveyard could of easily been massive if her label gave it more stable promo. She released way too many promo singles and there wasn’t much hype.

Just bought the album yesterday and listened to it for the first time...wow, what a trip. The piano break in "Forever...is a longtime" was so beautifully unexpected and I wish she did a whole song around that! Also I knew the existence of "Ashley" would make you happy :). And I'm already learning all the words to "Clementine" because I love the story it tells and the simple yet deep production! The "Jennifer's Body" quote at the beginning of "Killing boys" though...damn we stan a songstress with taste! :D Plus I saw "3am" and immediately though of Ash, knowing the name alone would set you off because "we don't play with demons at 3am on this channel!" XD (But I'm glad you liked it so much. And yes, "Without Me" was Grammy-snubbed, hard :P).

@Aldercy Prophecy "I'm Not Mad" is a bonus Track on the Target Exclusive Version of the Album, "Wipe Your Tears" is on the Japanse Album Version. Both these songs will most likely never be released officially, at least that's what my experiance is. For example Troye Sivan's "Bloom" had two Target-exclusive Tracks, which never have been released since the album release (1,5 years). Also, P!nk's "Hurts 2B Human" Album had a Japan-exclusive Bonus Track called "More", which also was not released since. So it's a common thing.

Just keep in mind that’s her ranking on her initial listen. I also agree that this is the kind of album you just need to listen to a few times to fully digest it. It’s just a really good album in general and it’s one you have to get accustomed to because of how jarring it can seem, but it was right up my alley so I didn’t mind listening to it a few times.

forever (is a long time) is one of my faves because ashley mentioned that it’s a song about loving someone and then eventually thinking “what am i doing, how can this person love me?” it goes from optimistic to anxious. the song goes from major key to minor key and i thought that shit was so cool.
