Manic Miner Longplay (C64) [50 FPS]: A top conversion for one of the most iconic games from the 8-bit era of gaming. Read the video description for my review!
Classic 80s microcomputer games... So simple, and frequently frustratingly hard! Imagine giving a COD player an hour to get as far as they can in Manic Miner, I bet they wouldnt get far.
Music off!!! 4 bars of the Mountain King on endless repeat for 22 mins! That's 260 odd times! AAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHH! My ears are bleeding! Warning! This game will drive absolutely everybody completely insane!
I had this and Jet Set Willy II: The Final Frontier on C64 budget tapes. I played the latter for ages though resorted to drawing up extra platforms with an Action Replay Cartridge. Falling down into a screen that took all your lives was the worst thing. Zzap gave it like 13% or something which was a bit unfair.
Can I ask which version of WinVice you're using, and are there any specific settings? I was clearly fortunate with the Quedex upload (beginners luck!), but playback for other - albeit longer - games keep breaking! I'm using WinVice 3.0 (x64), with the default settings. Any assistance gratefully received :o)
I use multiple versions (2.3, 2.4, 3.0 x86 versions) - the input recording feature is prone to desyncs on all versions and I've done more than 1 recording, only to find all the effort was wasted (I know your pain!). However, I can give you some tips on avoiding the issues - I can't seem to find an email/message contact against your profile?
@@104d_3rr0r_vince say that then: nice review in the *description* instead of expecting mind reading. not a good review anyway, stupid, he says the c64 is better than the spectrum version which is nonsense and also the word for big pixels is *blocky* , not "pixelated" , which means to disguise something such as a numberplate or face with pixels
I hated the C64 but today I believe this title is AS good a conversion of the ZX SPECTRUM CLASSIC as ever and I have even download the C64 emulator to play it. PS ATTIC ATTACK is also a worthy contender!! :) Hell the ATARI 800XL of BRUCE LEE IS STILL the TOP CONTENDER !:) loving the retro !!
