@@itsriddhi9092 the baby grew up to have a much better life as a son of a Nawab than he would as a son of a Tawaif. Selling the baby didn't destroy his life, he was raised in splendour like a prince. And even then she took revenge by killing Rehana, which was fine. Though she did it only for her greed and ambition and not out of love for her baby.

while watching the series the first time I didn;t pay much attention to her acting but when I saw much hatred towards her acting so I saw the whole series again!! And believe me , me and my family really liked her acting.. It was very good and impressive.. If you think she didn't have expressions then u gladly don't know about acting, direction and the depth of her character.. Because i'm a theatre artist and ik how good she did!

Manisha's character, Mallikajaan, a tawaif/courtesan, was arrested by the British officers and raped in the police station. It's an emotional scene where MJ is showing her strength of character and survivors spirit, while everyone is blaming Fareedan (Sonakshi Sinha), a rival courtesan who tipped off the cops. Except, Fareedan didn't really plan it. She wanted to take revenge on MJ because MJ killed her mother and stole her home (the brothel that MJ now rules), and sold Fareedan to some old guy when she was 9. Now that she is free, she is here for revenge. She teamed up with a British officer (a stupid decision for sure, but desperate times I guess) and told them to make MJ's life hell. And the British officer did it in the most Colonizer way possible.

For your information, this is not her first movie/series. In fact in all her interviews she talks as if she has decades of acting experience and is an expert! Amir Khan was never expressionless. How are you even comparing the two?!

@shovanabajracharya You clearly haven't seen Aamir Khan's disastrous performances like Sapera, Love Love Love, Tum Mere Ho.. he was a pathetic actor, but the audience was forgiving back then. Now, he is one of the best actors and a superstar. Today, people are not easily impressed, which is perfectly fine. I'm just against trolling her and gowing below the belt. She can improve in the future.
