The way a movie should be about a real-life event. No exaggeration, no nonsense, no unreal superhero crap. Totally relatable human emotions. When a disaster happens, we won't know immediately that it actually happened because our minds want to either deny it or downplay it. It's overwhelming and we don't jump into the ultimate action immediately. This process was relatable.

That's a tribute to Kamalhassan. In Anbe Sivam, another Kamal movie, Kamal survives a major accident and barely makes it alive. At that moment, a lady wishes Kamal that somebody who has seen death at close quarters is like a God. The same dialogue that you heard in Manjummel boys

The tug of war at the wedding is just a setup for the key of the film where to win a tug of war you first loosen the grip so the other team thinks they are wining and they in turn loosen their grip and in that fraction of a second the team pulls back and wins the game . This can only be understood by someone who has played tug of war . I don’t think the city bred people would know that .

Even though she's revealing some scenes in the film, u can still enjoy it. I knew the real manjummel boys story from newspapers and documentaries, still I was able to enjoy the movie in theatre. That's how incredibly they've done it.
