Today, we're continuing a multi-video journey on which we will be building historically accurate and authentic city designs in Manor lords, a highly anticipated city-building game! I will explain how the game works as I play and explain some historical details as we go!

Manor Lords is a strategy game that allows you to experience the life of a medieval lord. Grow your starting village into a bustling city, manage resources and production chains, and expand your lands through conquest.
Inspired by the art and architecture of late 14th century Franconia, Manor Lords prioritizes historical accuracy wherever possible, using it to inform gameplay mechanics and visuals alike. Common medieval tropes are avoided in favor of historical accuracy, in order to make the world feel more authentic, colorful, and believable.

I HOPE to get the last gameplay episode up tomorrow, but it may very well end up coming out only on Sunday! I want to do the huge build in Selbitz in one sitting, which means a much longer recording session and more post-commentary and editing! I'll do that build and will be sharing the save with that video as well to send off the series once and for all! Thank you all for sticking with it!

I recall that many monasteries would often have bee colonies to produce wax candles because of how quickly the burn through candles at night. It would be cool to see apiarists in the woods behind churches. That would be something educational to talk about

2:33 I started building a fort in the same forest on that ridge the other day! My regions entire city will be inside the wall on the ridge line. I also have my deep iron mine in the region, I’m using “Iron Fort” as a temporary name until I can come up with something more creative. These videos completely changed how I play this game, the best play through videos I’ve found.

You know what I would really love to see? A big river on the map and a lake. Big enough for ship traffic and fishing. Maybe even an island as a defensible town/ castle location.

I‘m very late to this so forgive me if you already did it but I just thought about the name: Waldbrand could be called „Hohenfeld“ because well of the fields ofc but also because they are more elivated compared to your main settlements down in the river valley :) meanwhile Eichenau could retain the „eichen“ because of the forest industry but maybe rename it to „Eichenkirchen“ because of the prominent spot of the church (and as a neighbouring village to Eisenkirchen) Edit: Ahhh well I just clicked on the next video and realised this campaign is coming to an end! Thank you for this awesome series, I enjoyed it immensely!

Thank you for the content. There isn't much information out there for this game at the moment so you have helped me overcome many strange issues I was having. Cheers to you for being a pioneer of sorts. You really bring you're villages and cities to life with a certain beauty that has inspired me to do the same. i havent watched the remainder of this video yet, but would you increase the baron's army size for that last final battle. you know of a little bit of proper finale. if you are you can use these mods Hildebolt's Vanguard Army - Difficulty Mod. and Unlock Militia Limit. if you are i'd recommend backing up this wonderful save

Guess Waldbrand can also a church fiefdom since churches need a lot of candles and their also heavily involve in the business of it in the form of tenant labour just like paper and wool. Please put some family to work the church so those who fell in battle may be buried on consecrated ground, its bad omen to left fellow christian rotting away

"Zeitler" was a early Name dir Beekeeper in Bavaria. So a Name related to that would be a propper Name for Eichenau. Maybe Zeitlau or something like that.

You should add some apiaries next to the church. I believe historically churches were places where wax was produced.

There is a bug in the pre-patch game where if you finish the objective, the game is over. There is no endless-mode. Maybe it's not the case with you, but it was with me. So save the game beforehand.

What happens if the enemy baron manages to take over an inhabited region? Does he start controlling the town, or does it disappear, and does the population still keep working the jobs?
