Manowar is an American heavy metal band from Auburn, New York. Formed in 1980, the group is known for lyrics based on fantasy and mythology, as well as numerous songs celebrating the genre and its core audience. The band is also known for a loud and bombastic sound

My first concert was ManOWar @L'amour in Brooklyn February 85. Saw them play a lot over the 80s and into the 90s. Always a great show

The first Manowar song I heard was "Manowar" when my brother was playing it all the time. I was attending a Manowar show in Ludwigshafen(Germany) in 1993 when I was at the age of 12 which was my first rock concert ever. I highly recommmend that you attend one of the european shows coming up in 2021.

Damn my first Manowar experience was in the game Brutal Legend when I summoned my car from the heavens and die for metal came on the radio. I’d say hearing about metal is more than just music/lifestyle, literally became the only way the live for me. Every now and then when I replay the game I go out of my way to unlock that one song when I’m able the summon the deuce

First Manowar was from "Into Glory Ride", one of their best albums. March for Revenge, hell of a song.

I love Manowar, they're my favorite heavy metal band! It's tough to choose a favorite Manowar album because I love them all. I recommend Hail to England, The Triumph of Steel, Warriors of the World to start with. Some of my favorite Manowar songs are Mountains, Achilles Agony and Ecstasy, House of Death, Dark Avenger, Black List, Gates of Valhalla, Each Dawn i Die.. etc I've seen Manowar live three times the first here in New York City and then twice in Germany at the Magic Circle Festival 2008 and 2009. The first time I heard about Manowar I was at a music store and I saw one of their albums. I looked for information on them online and I was attracted to the songs. The first album I bought was their live album Hell on Earth and I was hooked especially on the song Guyana Cult of the Damned. I met Joey and the rest of the band at the New York show; Joey was very nice, he invited the fans on the tour bus, signed autographs and spoke to us.

Favorite album is easily The Triumph Of Steel from 1992. The first time I was introduced to them was when I was 23 years old (from a female coworker) back in late 2000/early 2001. Been a fan ever since.

In my case, it's a flashback from couple days ago :D ... I loved Manowar, I love Manowar and I hope I will love Manowar. btw... I saw them live, in Czech republic, I traveled a lot there and I didn't sleep for 3 days that time. But it was worthy, I met them in hotel bar after the show. I still have signed t-shirt (by all members), tickets too and I can see myself in "I Believe" video couple time, plus in Hell On Earth pt3 dvd (once)... after that night I said "I can DIE" :) what an experience, and all of them was very friendly in that bar, in fact Eric came to me (we didn't know there was staying in that hotel) and someboby tapped me on my shoulder, I turned and it was Eric!! Saying "I remember you from the show", would you believe? I was in the first row... incredible

@@ShaneDiablo thx. Yeah it was amazing. Hopefully you will do some more flashbacks :) Btw... I would recommend for you amazing very underrared band from Germany. With no reaction at all on whole RU-vid. They sing about vikings, one of the member is history teacher so there is plenty of real things in lyrics. Rebellion - Ynglinga Saga (to Odin we call) great great song with amazing solo

Seen in Milano, at the "Gods of Metal" festival in 1998. Great. They were the headliners and came to the stage on the Bikes. Before them played Angra, WASP Motorhead and others. Metallica was the headliners the day before and Heatfield stay to sing a song with the Motorhead

It's such a shame they were one of the most underrated bands ever I love a lot of their songs I never got to see him live they never came to my state but I have loved everything they've came out with ever since they started deserve to be in the Rock Hall of Fame they came out at a time when stuff was so wimpy is what I called wussy metal fighting the world read the thing on the album it says death to false metal on it

I'm surprised they never reached more mainstream success back in the mid 80s. To me, their sound is more straightforward metal than power metal. To me, power metal was very early Savatage, Savage Grace, and Warlord. Seems like Manowar's look and sound could have crossed over into the huge glam fanbase/market during the 80s heyday. Not bad tho. This is heavy and it rocks.

Best album for me is into glory ride. First album I heard was triumph of steel. I’ve seen them 8 times, starting with their Earthshaker show in Germany, fucking epic, mind blowing show. Wish I could have seen them back in the Ross the Boss days.

One of my best friends in high school decided I needed to listen to heavy metal. He lent me a cassette called Power Chords. It had Ace Freily, Raven Savatage, Anthrax, Overkill, Helloween, and Manowar on it. Maybe a couple others. Black Wind, Fire, and Steel was the Manowar tune. I was hooked

A Z-Rock staple back in the glory days of metal around 87 and 88.....not Manowar’s best but still a damn fine song. You should do Blood of My Enemies from Hail to England next....

You should react to Medium by Cynical. I am the vocalist, and my friend plays guitar. We are a two man band, and we are both 16 years old. A song reaction video would mean a lot to us! We want some feedback from you! Thanks man ❤️

I saw Manowar at Ziggy's in N.C, (a club show) and the next night they played at a Stadium. If you want to see a good Manowar show, check out "The Day the Earth Shook" I think it's on RU-vid.

Haven't heard this in years. It's a great album. I think Sign of the Hammer is better though. Scott Columbus was the drummer. He died a few yrs ago . First time I heard Manowar was early 80s. My buddy played into glory ride for me. Same lunch was the First time I heard Kill em All. It was a banner day.

thats why i found manowar the most poser band ever, but they are a killer band, holy war is one of the greatest songs in the same album, this was abviously an intent to get a rotation video in the years of heavy metal they wanted to be on mtv like anyone. and used so many gimmicks. a shame they are one of the most talented bands of the 80s. they have a great concept and sound ( maybe the best conan the barbarian sound ever in metal), they have great songs, and they have a great talented singer like eric adams that sounds power metal but with a great rough style that i think never heard , but their attitude is an embarrasment, it makes even the greatest fan ( that i am) cringe. and thats i think is why they are great in europe but never came bigger with general public like maiden or judas.
