The Mansfield Training School and Hospital was a state school for people with developmental disabilities located in Mansfield, Connecticut, United States. It was active from 1860 to 1993. Its former campus, located at the junction of Connecticut Route 32 and United States Route 44 in Mansfield is a 350-acre historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

I think you should have a respirator on for your own protection; I have already explored too many places in which I wish I did have one on. You have no idea what you could be breathing in, even if there is not an obvious sign of hazard. Stay safe! 👍😷

@@JMExplorations Man, that basement area in the Knight Hospital where you started this video is SO sketchy. I can still picture the particulate floating around in front of my flashlight…I too did not have a respirator and that was a mistake I would NOT make again. Why I walked into an area that looked like it was coated with 2 inches of asbestos is beyond me…but I feel better knowing you went down there without a mask like a dummy too! 😅

I live 5 minutes away from this location and have not been able to get permission to investigate here. My neighbor worked for UConn and told me its not legal to enter any of the buildings. Very frustrating.
