Paul: "I've heard this game starts messing with you if you take too long." Game: "Everyone takes 2 horror and the butler dies. Also Ben gets a muscle cramp."
I like to think Paul is actually playing the part of Nyarlathotep, seeming helpfull accross the game, but actually attempting to mislead the investigators and get them to make mistakes and lose
Good job!! This was a great scenario. William Yorick was very smart despite his madness, and about expansions set, let me suggest Horrific Journeys like first opcion cause is AWESOME.
I saw some1 play this before on RU-vid but for the life of me I couldn't ever come up with the name of the game. I loved to watch it and thank you very much
Just got this game. Me and my kids played once last night. First “easy” story and it was a 4-5hr struggle but very fun. We stayed behind to hold off the monsters/cultists while my daughter made a run for the exit with the unique item to win the game!
Oh man I LOVE the atmospheric music. THIS is the type of game we need more of. It makes me remember the ooold game shrieks and creaks which used a cassette tape back in the day, lol.
And that’s awesome that different things happened in the same story. I didn’t ignore the door to the dining room/kitchen with the butler. I took a hit and monster appeared but butler survive. Rest of investigators were unharmed. But in your case you all took horror cuz you ignored the door for multiple turns. And I guess that’s why game was so hard. We were trying to figure out rules and setup for that 4-5hrs instead of the expected 1-1.5hrs. So by the end the whole place had monsters swarming us.
I can see why it adds up to $120, large boardgames are typically $60, minis are expensive, especially the large one, and then the special app... I think the price makes sense. Hopefully it's worth it?
Tabletop simulator on steam. Theres lots of workshops of this exact game with expansions. Great online alternative, but i still highly recommend the physical version as well
