The years 1988 - 1993 are an era. These were magical years for the house, acid jazz and new jack swing movement. Mantronix was an indispensable part of this time. This groove was never achieved again. Thanks Kurt!
I was there in the 80’s In my 50’s now still dancing in the kitchen and my child says “you bopping mum” Damn right I am. I was a great dancer back in the day. Old but young in heart. 🙌🏽
@@gregoryeze9329 it was released January 1st 1990 but recorded in the late 80’s. I had the white label of it as a DJ I got to get them before officially being released. Go do your homework 🎤drop
1990 I bought this single for 99 cents on tape. Will always play this song, now that youtube has it up.. RIP to an amazing soul sista Wondress; only found out looking at the comments she transitioned
This song came out 30 plus years ago & still a fucking jam! This song brings back so many good memories for me & I'm 56 now. Clubbin' back in the day! REST IN PARADISE WONDRESS!
Bring this tune to the youth of today..... They will wonder what happened to music in the years that passed - why music has become so featureless and dull....😒 These where the times of incredible music -by MANTRONIX!!!
It’s because they try to push too much sex to sale anything that it gets redundant & boring….plus it’s all antics today to try & sale like posting crap on social media that only appeals to juveniles….I’m glad that when we were juveniles we had quality & enormous amounts of styles & not just 1 rap style & 1 RnB style like today.
This just came into my head.... haven't heard it since back in the day. Sooooo good, ❤❤❤❤Music will never be like this again, I pity the youth of today. Luckily my 21 year old loves the 80's and 90's tunes, real music
Can't believe Wondress is gone...l'm shocked and very saddened...we used to Rave to this in Confusion; Shaftesbury Av. London back in the Day...you will be Sorley missed...💕💕💕
This track & video is timeless, art & pure gold. Wondress on the beat was perfection till date. I wasn't born at that time, but honestly, I really feel this to my soul.
Take me back to those time's pls..remember men wearing suit's back then..I use to wesr baggy pletted black trousers with a cropped double breasted jacket and polo neck top under the jacket..I felt the nuts...hair was high lighted wedge...😊
¿Os dais cuenta la cantidad de recuerdos y el subidón que significa esta canción? YA NO SE HACE MUSICA DE ESTE ESTILO, hemos perdido la cordura musical en estos últimos 20 años sobretodo con la basura musical del reguetón.
@@jokerfleckcast3196 Yes exactly !! That's what I noted too! I wouldn't be surprised if Mantronix did arrange some songs for the first two Turtles movies. Turtle Power!
I believe this was from the “This Should Move Ya” album era. A pretty cool B-side joint. Shame that they just didn’t put this on their “…Move ya” album. It would have fit perfectly.
