Back to the Supra! We started the modifications on our manual A90 Supra after about 5 minutes of ownership and that definitely won't slow down any! The manual supra is a dream to drive from the factory, but there's lots of great changes to be made to make the experience even better! So why not make it faster? With limited options on what were able to do with tunes for right now, we went ahead and installed a JB4 to get a little more power out of the car for the time being! And we cant do anything without proving it works, so we took it to our neighbors at ‪@DallasPerformanceTT‬ and had them dyno the Supra for us to see some new horsepower numbers!

Wish you emailed us for support and sent some logs. We would have made sure it cracked 400whp easily.

Oh man, I thought about reaching out to George but we werent going for MAP 6 on this, just adding a little with the base files... Id be happy to log/send over though if you guys wanted to check it out! I wasnt disappointed in the numbers or anything, its certainly worthwhile IMO, especially if you arent going to be sending your ECU off!

I worked with your Tunner terry for 3 weeks sending logs back and forth he didn't know how to fix, and he gave up on me. you guys are scamming ppl at this point I paid 700 dollars for a non-running software I'll be making a RU-vid sharing my full experience. I definitely need to share my bad experience.

How has the factory clutch and flywheel held so far? Any issues? Do you already know how much torque it can handle?

Its been fine so far! Were not really sure. We do have a aftermarket clutch being built though to test out, so more than likely we wont push the factory clutch to its breaking point!

I tuned in hoping to see where you ran the small cable through the firewall, and you didn't show that part, so where did you pass it through?

We generally run them through the firewall following other harnesses - generally there is enough room and you can cut the OE firewall seals and push it though behind the dash on the driver side.

@@BMPTuning Thanks for the reply. On my 2021 I ran it through the opening behind the left cowl drain tube, which was always suspicious given its placement and the deliberate indent in the drain tube to go around something that wasn't there. Well, it is now occupied by the clutch hydraulic hose, so I didn't know if you weaseled the wire around that grommet or ran it through a different spot. I guess I'll have to snake into the foot well and see what else is available..

Me confused with life lol so running jb4 on a manual Supra is still viable? ……. Get hyper mixed messages everywhere … will I be okay if I just run map1 for 91 😂… was looking for a less invasive (ecu unlock etc etc)solution and jb4 seem to fit the boot … not really looking to go balls to the wall with a custom tune

We need to go back with the Supra now and get more datalogging for Burger - its wildly different now (car wise) and we can finally breath a little now that SEMA is over.

@BMPTuning what's your elevation? Are you 2 port? I'm in Washington state. Seattle based dyno. Was around an 80° day. Current numbers for unlocked, pump 93 tune, upgraded turbo, downpipe, I'm at around 460whp now for a very very modest tune. Need to rebuild transmission before going more and dumping injection into it, csf and all that fun stuff

JB4 just causes throttle closures, it's actually hurting the performance. These cars make 390 whp stock. Same thing with the M2/M3/M4 manual with Jb4. Is not worth it.

@@BMPTuning your own video. Check out any other Supra Manual dyno. All of them are very close to 400 whp stock. You are struggling to get there WITH the jb4. Just look at the logs, plenty of throttle closures. Several people has reported similar issues in the supramkv forums. JB4 works for the auto though.

@@0Camus0 these dyno videos aren't meant for you to get an exact hp number - more of a quick before/after. The last log shows stock vs our best JB4 run. It's not catless, I'm sure if we ran the car on a different dyno, it would spit out the same numbers the rest of the manual supras would! Not a clue about throttle closures - though we've installed these on many makes/models without any major issues. We'll have to look into it!

@@BMPTuning Would be good to see jb4 vs stock. I did use jb4 on a manual G82, and it was causing throttle closures in the entire mid range. Not sure what's different from the auto that causes this.
