Wheel-tool, change your own tire from rim.
10-10-2013 After balancing with dynabeads with several wheels over time, no good results, can't advise it.
Also lateral unbalance can't be fixed with the beads.
Woble repair from steel wheel (rim):
- Measure the lateral runout at the rim where tire is mounted and mark this place.
- When inside and outside are at the same spot, it can be fixed
- If this is 2mm, then you can grind with angle-grinder about .8mm on the side marked from the surface where the rim is mounted to the verhicle.
- You should be very experienced with the angle_grinder, as the surface must be plane ofcourse.
- When mounting the tire: pump it with air till max. what's written on the tire (is important), put the valve and reduce till what you normal drive with.
I was able to reduce the wobble with 50% measured at a steel rim. Measured at the mounted tire later, it was reduced about 70%.
No more vibrations at 100-120km/h, as this is what lateral runout does.

Tried dyna beads in a motorcycle tire; the inside of the tire gets beat up. Static balance and glue on weights from now on. Liked the video, thanks for sharing

The one thing you must never, ever do with Dynabeads, or any other balancing bead, is wet them down. They will clump up inside the tire & you'll have an extremely unsatisfactory result. They must remain dry in order to properly circulate & distribute themselves at highway speeds. Moisture is the mortal enemy of all balancing beads

bobbofly have fun breaking the dry bead when mounting the tire

I'd love to see the mounting head of that bar, from close. It seems a little small. I made mine with bearings, it keeps on turning in the hands when I remount the tire. I use a lot of soap. I guess I'll have to remake it for a third time...

You would have an easier time putting the tire on then pushing the bead down on one side and then dropping in the dyna beads between the tire and wheel. Then seating the bead and inflating. That way they won't roll out

Yes. I do the inner tire bead first then add the beads. Then spin the outer bead on. And you still take a chance some beads could fall out. I'm now thinking about mounting tire, inflating to seal the beads then breaking the outer face bead in one spot, dropping balance beads in then re-inflate.

Bom o vídeo, mas não se começa desgrudando o pneu da roda justamente onde está a válvula! Se é pneu com câmera podia ter arrancado a válvula!

The scary thing about this video was a man working with heavy tools while wearing sandals and feet exposed. I wear steel toed boots anytime I work with tools and lifting heavy items

I was glass pearls, for balancing tht wheels. But after a while I found it not so effective, and finished with it. You can google balancing beads for info of it.

Bob's Barn Workshop Bob's Barn Workshop 1 second ago they are ceramic beads that will dynamically balance the tire as it spins.. and they keep balancing as the tire wears... and can be reused too!
