You come with truths as always. At the turn of the year, I realized the “pretty boy” look wasn’t for me. I switched from the 360 waves, keeping my facial hair super tight, wearing my clear rimless glasses, to rocking a bald head, letting my facial hair grow, wearing my black tinted prescription glasses most of the time, and reverted back to looser fitting clothes (except when dressing up). The rougher renegade look fits who I am much more cause I grew up that way in that environment, and the ladies have happened to love the switch up, despite them not being on my mind when I made the decision.

Some of homeboys love to go across town to the suburbs to get women, they say those women love hood niggaz 😂. Women really do pay attention to how other men treat you, I come off like a square so women are always say shocked when we’re out and known street dudes come up to me and show me love. I’ve had a few women tell me I don’t look like who I am 😂😂 it’s fun

This is so facts. A lot of the men they go after are not even good looking but just look like the stereotypical hood dude or thug. But the thing is, even though a lot of women like rough looking dudes, many women still go after clean cut pretty boy, softer looking dudes. It's all about the lane you fit in.

Over time I have learned that it's common for women to have a guy who ticks the boxes on the sexual side, AND a guy who ticks the boxes to be seen with her in public. U wouldn't connect the woman with that particular rough-edged sexual dude based on their looks or style, he is there for sex. Sad part is that the other guy, the one who she claims she truly loves, might end up being rationed when it comes to sex - just enough to keep him around. I will be honest enough to say I have been on the receiving end of this in years past, and it s*cks big time! It might be happening to u right now 🤞🏽🤷🏽‍♂️

One of my funniest childhood friends has a cut scar across his face like that dude Omar from the Wire. My guy full of jokes and doesn't have a fighting bone in his body, fortunately for him when he stares you down and don't smile he looks cold blooded, damn psych ward crazy. We grow up together so I know he doesn't have much buck in him, I even know how he really got his scar, however dudes get terrified of this man and girls love him and I know without a doubt it's because of that scar. In my head, I'm laughing like crazy and I tell him one day someone is going to pull your card. This my dude.

I'm from NYC and there were many gangstas growing up that didn't fit that rough looking persona...Haitian Jack was one of them pretty boy stickup kid that wouldn't hesitate to blow a person's head clean off.

Only thing is many woman “ want “ but can’t handle my rough energy all the time on a consistent basis like they’ll need a break at times haha, some have even told me they’ll feel overwhelmed or that they wish that I’d be a bit softer at times in which I do “ sometimes “ just to switch it up, but definitely the roughneck will always reign supreme. Hence the name 💪🏾

Facts. I think demeanor and personality that gives the whole look, I even know weak looking dudes that stay in the gym and buff but give off weakness. You definitely need a rough edge with some of these women. I'm a software developer by profession but I been in the military and grew up in the hood when we used to throw hands so I can give off a mild mannered but not weak demeanor.

The guys that women are attracted to from a photograph versus who they respond to in-person are often in opposition with each other. Fine featured men do not typically look virile masculine in person but they do photograph well. But that is not real life which is about a visceral response. I think that is why women find facial scars and rough hands attractive on men. It looks like you can take some damage and suggests strength and good odds of survival. None of those things seem like they would be important today but it is a primal response to them. And that is real and what matters.
