If I remember correctly, it should have come with one… in any case, If you have a scissor arm stand then go for the wind muff, if not then the foam filter will do just fine 👍🏾

Hey there! Curious if you're still using this microphone and if your opinions have changed at all in the last 3 months. Has it held up reasonably well? Have you noticed anything about the quality over time that you didn't notice right away? Is there anything I should be aware of if I want to buy this microphone?

Yes, I am still using this microphone, actively, and I must say that it’s still great. I love the sound it produces given how inexpensive it is as well. It’s still in one piece physically as well. It’s made from plastic but a sturdy one. For the price, you won’t be disappointed if your’re looking for a mic that covers the basics really well. I would recommend it. Please Suggest Sir : Fifine t669 or Maono 461TR / Maono au a04? For singing / voice over I mean which has better background noise reduction and Voice texture?

Hey! Well both mics are in different price categories. The T669 comes with more accessories and has a much better build quality as it’s made out of metal. While both mics offers great sound, I personally appreciate the lower tone of the Maono PM461TR. However, if you do end up going with the Maono PM461TR you would have to get the accessories separately to have the same setup as the Fifine T669. Hope this helps !!

Does Fifine Has Crisp Voice Texture than maono? As You Said You Like Lower Tone Of maono. If You Have To Pick Any One For singing, Which One Will You Pick? I feel like the T669 is highlights highs a bit more but the Maono has a warmer tone to it. In terms of noise rejection, as long as you keep the gain low and move closer to the mic, I would rate them As being the same in terms of sound rejection. If the T669 gain on the mic is too high it can get pretty sensitive and pick up the ambient noise. Hope this better answers your questions 👍🏾👍🏾

@@TechGod I have a fifine k668, blue snowball, at2020 and this maono. Fifine is ear rape. Terrible for background noise. It'll pick up your neighbor sneezing. I highly do not recommend anything Fifine if you do voiceover or audiobooks. I only use my at2020 for those. If you do get a fifine because it's so cheap, you 100% need noise reduction in post. I only use my fifine as a travel mic for youtube videos but I always do 2 noise reductions in post. Hope this helps.

For the most part, they have all performed well in my experiences. Hmm.. In theory it’s should mute the mic, but in some cases it Lowers the volume to almost zero but it would still pick up some sound.

Hello, I know I'm a month late. I don't know what the "tr" stands for but its for the model. Because there are 4 variations, tr, ts, s, and t. Tr is the cheapest one and the other models are more pricier because of more accessories (boom arm, pop filter, and shock mount)

Will it work for singing ? Yes, absolutely but I would get something that at least has live monitoring for singing. But to start out, this could be good as well

Hello! Excellent detailed review! Thank you! I have a somewhat unusual task. I need to record ultrasound 10-80 kHz, and the analog-to-digital converter of this microphone should cope with such a task. Would you be so kind as to make a test recording of 192 kHz / 24 bit? Please just shake a bunch of iron door keys so that they clink in front of the microphone and put the resulting wav file somewhere without processing.

Hello! I think it’s always recommended to be in a quiet place as much as you can while using any microphone, because there is only so much a mic can do at rejecting loud noises in the background especially at this price point. However, what I tend to do is to turn the gain as low as I reasonably can and just speak closer to the mic. This helps a lot in cutting out the background noise. A secondary step is to introduce editing to your audio. If you are recording, you can always use a Noise reduction effect or even a noise gate effect to filter out any unwanted noise. Given the price for this microphone, I think it really performs well and would be a great budget option . Hope this helps and answers your question ?

Haha! You put me in a tough spot as I like both mics. They both have mic gain controls and depending on when you look, they sell for around the same price. So I can see how you’re having trouble choosing. You’d be happy with either mic, so it’s really a personal preference. Although, I do like how the Maono has a detachable mic as an option.

There are actually two different models. The Fifine T669 and the 669B. The 669B is the cheaper out of the two Fifine microphone and more comparable in price to the Maono PM461TR

How did u mount in to the boom arm? Isnt the screws different on both end? Another question, what is the material used of the mic holder mount. Is the mount made of plastic or is it made of metal( the bottom part of mic holder).

Hello ! The boom arm should come with an adaptor to screw in the mic in the case it doesn’t fit right out of the box. The mic holder is made out of two materials, metal for the screw ring and a hard plastic. 👍🏾

The part that screws to the mic is metal but the part that screws to the base or arms stand is a hard plastic. I personally have not had any issues with mounting the mic in either case. The thread could be damages if it isn’t screwed on properly. That could be possible.

It sounds like you are just starting out. For the price and what it does. It’s a good mic for recording in general. To get your sound to the next level, it will also be good to invest some time on how to optimize the sound to your liking through quick editing techniques. Hmm... not sure if that would be the best way to record. Probably better to get each sound in a different track. So maybe separate mic for guitar and maybe the Maono for vocals ?

They are quite similar mics, price-wise and feature wise. So you can’t go wrong going with either mic. The Fifine has a better build quality but to me, personally, I prefer the sound from the Maono PM-461TR. That’s not to say the sound from the Fifine is bad, it’s just my personal preference. Hello! Just connect the black shock mount to the mic that comes in the box and then screw that shock mount to the scissor arm stand :-)

@@GoWrightReviews I have brought the shockmount from maono as a single piece and my package doesn't have the adapter convertor will it be connected with an adapter the 3.5 something conversion thingy to connect it i am super confused mate. I also brought this microphone idk why the reviews are super negative about this microphone on amazon india.

Hmmm… I’m surprised it didn’t come with the adaptor.. it’s an essential part to the scissor stand. Maybe you could order it on the side? Also, have you tried out the mic yet ? You liking the sound so far?

@@GoWrightReviews Yes I did the sound is pretty sweet as my voice is deep pitched. Yeah you can see this one boom arm provided by Maono AU-B01. They dont provide it with the adapter I know its essential part still they give it with a microphone clip. If you have time please check the above mentioned arm brother and help me fix this issue. As on amazon in they have mentioned it from Maono's side as the adapter isn't included in it.

Hello, Yes, that will work. Sometimes you do need an powered USB hub in addition but often times it’s for higher powered mics like a blue yeti. Hope this helps and thanks for watching !

Hmm… don’t think that’s possible as it’s a usb mic and It wouldn’t be necessary in my opinion as it connects directly to your computer without the need of phantom power.

Hey! So the Fifine T669 is in a different price tier when compared to this mic (Maono pm461tr). So it’s priced higher than this one. The T669 has a metal build structure, and more accessories. However, the Fifine 669b is more comparable price wise and feature wise, and quite honestly, it would be hard to pick between the two, as they’re both great mics, but if I had to pick, I would go for the Maono as it has a detachable USB cable. With the 669b you need to upgrade to the t669 to get that feature. Keep in mind though that Fifine has a great warranty in general (have to double check if it applies to 669b though). So which ever option is more important, that’s the one I’d go with 👍🏾. Hope this helps !

Oh it’s pretty easy. Just unscrew the microphone mount from the mini table stand and screw that part unto the scissor arm stand. Let me know if you need help setting it up!

There’s different grades of scissor arm stands that you can get. I really prefer that to the table stand. A lot more flexibility and frees up table space

From the group of handheld mics I’ve tested, this is the cheapest one and I was sincerely surprised by how it performed. I think one of the reasons it’s selling for less money is because the mic is made out of a hard plastic (decent quality though) and it doesn’t come with that many accessories. So you get cost savings but they did not cut in the sound department. I can tell you that. If you’re on a tight budget, I think this would be a great starter mic, especially considering you don’t need extra equipment like an audio interface, if you were using an XLR mic. XLR mics do have its advantages over USB mic in terms of flexibility for connectivity but if you need something that sounds good and easy to set up, this mic would be a good way to go! @@GoWrightReviews i have used maono au-a04, 903. And even a cheap lav mic of Boya. But this one seems to have a cracking sound whenever the "s" sound is there. And noise reduction is weak. I have used a04 even with my air cooler (not conditioner) and there is very little background noise which is easily removed in post production. But this one captures all the noise behind. I have now totally packed it and kept it in by bag. Never use it.

Wow… sorry to hear that. One of the techniques I try to use is to keep the gain on the mic lower and keep the mic closer. This helps with any background noise you might pick up and like you said, noise reduction in post editing is super effective. For the given price point, I believe Maono PM461TR offers good value in my opinion, especially for someone starting out. I’m wondering if you may have gotten a defective unit? I personally have not had the cracking issue. In any case, I’m happy you have found the mic that works best for you ! Best of luck with your recording projects 👍🏾
