I just got mine today and it sounds so good, it's highway robbery lol I recommend any podcaster to pick one up whether you are starting or just need a backup microphone 🎤
@@MrAyrit my laptop doesnt recognize my headset as a mic when i plug it in my audio jack, im scared that it wouldnt recognize this mic too so if it wouldnt recognized on my laptop, it should atleast work on my andriod phone haha..
Just bought this, hope it's as promising as it sounds in this vid. Good job on the vid btw had exactly what I was looking for without winding on too much.
@@happiness06100 Well, I'd say it is adequate. With the gain, you can kind of fine tune that a bit. The closer you are to microphone, the lower you can set. your gain, which will help you limit that background noise.
Thank you! I'm a Social Studies teacher in the Philippines. I'm looking for a new microphone to use for my online classes and recorded video lessons. I have this cheap setup involving a BM-800 condenser microphone, a generic Phantom power supply and a V8 sound card. It didn't produce the sound that I had hoped it would. The total cost for this setup is about the same as that of this Maono USB microphone. Your review was really helpful!
What I could recommend is remove the V8 Sound Card, then just use the BM-800 with the Phantom Power. Download Voicemeter, it is free. Just search it in Google, then play with its settings. There are also a lot of tutorials already for this. If you hear some buzzing sound, it might be that your gain is too high, you can lower it to 75% using the Windows Sound Control Panel, or if you can still hear it, you might have a grounded PC. For the grounded PC, which is common in Philippines if you haven't installed some ground wires, you can try adding a ground wire, just a simple elecrtic wire link to a rod and dug to ground. So far, it produced a lot better sound. BUT if you want to use the V8 Sound Card, I suggest not using its USB connection. I mean, use the USB only to power the V8 Sound Card. Don't connect it to PC, you can just connect it to any power source using a USB Power Adapter, same as the one you are using to charge your phone. Then to connect the V8 to PC, use a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable, usually the one used for speakers. You can buy it online for like 65 pesos or 100 pesos in ACE Hardware. Connect the cable on the "Headset" port of V8 then connect the other end on the Microphone port on your PC, the pink one. It will sound a lot better than the USB connection. THEN, you can again use Voicemeter to attain your most desired output. Again, I am not a sound expert or anything but just wanting to share to you what I discovered. I bought a lot of cheap microphones and just experimented different set ups.
mine is coming in a week 😄obviously i will be using this mic to make videos and stuff and from all of the reviews ive seen and sound tests, this mic is pretty good for its price range
New subscriber. Im planning to buy a new mic and im considering this brand. Im still choosing between fantech leviosa mcx01 and fifine669b. What would you recommend between the three for game streams? :)
My orders coming and i bought it for 25$ and wow..... the mic sounds amazing, can i ask a question? How well is the sound quality if you attach it to a phone?
Thanks for this review! I purchased this after watching. Its my first USB mic and like it so much! What is the size of the adapter you used for your boom arm?
Hi! I'm a bedroom artist, I want to upgrade the quality of my work, and I'm about to buy a new microphone my budget is about 50$ I watched several reviews of several microphone. Do you think for that type of activity, this microphone is good?
Yo! Getting the Tonor Q9 for my classes Lol it was 59 but they temporarily changed the price to 38 good price I saw good reviews this mix looks good as well as the dude talking into it keep it up!
Subbed. I'm planning to buy this for my girlfriend so we can game together, but I have a question that I hope you can answer. Do you think this microphone is as goos as the Razer Seiren Mini? I have the seiren mini i bought back in january
Hi thanks for the review it helps a lot, I also love your table cover where I can get one ? I love the size of it because it almost covers the whole table thanks :)
Hello. Been searching recently for a mic to use but unfortunately I am no expert when it comes to this stuff. Is this one just plug and play or do I need other stuff for it to work? Like those phantom power some people are talking about. I would appreciate any answers.
If you just want you plug a mic into a computer via USB, this is a great option. Phantom Power is for mics that are used with an audio interface, which I tried, but thought was more complicated than I (or most people) want to deal with.
great review! i just ordered it online but it hasn't arrived yet. i was thinking of connecting this usb mic to my sound card but i can't think of ways on how to do so. the mic itself doesn't have a 3.5 mm audio jack, right? i wouldn't be able to plug it as line-in to my soundcard and my soundcard doesn't have a usb jack. i just couldn't figure it out. lmao
Do you think I'd be able to use this mic to record guitar off of an amp? Because that's my main reason for buying this and I'm wondering if it would work for me
Once I had a couple of microphone videos with over 1000 views, companies started contacting me about reviewing new mics they were releasing on Amazon. I purchase through Amazon, then they reimburse me. They really want those Amazon reviews.
Hey guys I have a question. Between PM 461 vs AU-903. Which one produces better sound quality? What I like about AU-903 is that I can plug my headphone into it, which I can't do with PM461.
Been trying to find the same, but kinda hard without knowing what to look for. So far my best guess is 3/8" to 5/8", which does come included with some mic stands. 3/8" seems to be the standard, why Maono decided to go with what appears to be 5/8" is beyond me. Though I am not 100% sure.
@@MrAyrit Thanks for the response!. I was hesitant to buy it because it's too good to be true for its price. It has a $100 dollar mic quality. Keep up the good work!
Anything specific you need help with? Whether you're using a boom arm or a different stand, you'll probably need a similar adapter. Check the description for a link to the one I use.
Really? Open box? That seems like two unusual things. I actually just bought one for my nephew as a Christmas present. Hopefully, it’s as good as the one I’m using.
What kind of background noise. In my experience the best way to reduce noise is to turn down mic gain and get closer to your mic. I do not have personal experience with those other mics, but I did try the Snowball Ice (I think is lower tier than Snowball) and I found its quality to be lacking.
@@darkwarrior1608 i bought it for that price. Got lucky 😇. Best purchase ever . Also It was a month ago . Try to buy it when on sale. Gets "out of stock " Very soon. Have to be quick. Best mic for best price.
A couple of things that we could check on: 1. What program are you using to record your audio? (I use voice memos on Mac) 2. How far away are you from your microphone. (mine's about a foot away from my mouth).
@@Bisc9999 oh for sure. Audacity makes that easy, but I never needed to use it on mine. That’s why I wonder if you have a defective one. You may also try a different USB port or cable.
