It was so nice to see the Leafs not get pushed around. The supporting cast stepped up giving the impression that the Toronto depth will serve this team well in the post season.

Overall, a pretty solid game by the Leafs. Took their foot off the gas in the 3rd and they're still way to passive when its a 6v5 imo. They did keep Edmonton off the scoreboard at even strength though. Also, glad to hear sammy is ok.

Great team win all around. You definitely need stars and scoring, but you need a blend of toughness and heart. Way to go boys. Hope Sammy is ok. We'll need him in the playoffs.

Can the hockey gods just give us one season where r goalies aren't an injury carousel.. Sammy was unreal in the first 2 periods n since he changed his season around he has been giving us exactly what we needed back there hope it isn't as bad as it seemed to be

THis is a good game for the Leafs to have that turning point they need the last few games into the playoffs. Only negative tonight is Sammy and how bad the injury is.

Well played first 2 periods, the third started to get messy. Even at even strength they had you on your heals line you were on the penalty kill. Got to keep the energy from the first 2 periods, don't let the teams push back in the third.

The reason it's fine and nothing as bad as it appeared for Sammy was obvious and a theory I've got regarding goalies in general being a peculiar breed as they are. The game was escalating throughout the 3rd in the Oilers favour (5-0 to 5-3 with quite a bit of time left) so he 'strains himself' and intentionally gets himself relieved from the game so that if the Oilers complete the comeback it's off of him and on Jones. His confidence and his overall play remains intact. That's why he's suddenly ok to play his next game.

Good 2 pds. 3rd was not . Team laid off body and started stick checking . The game turned and if nit for a few good saves and a post at the end oilers would have embarrassed leafs . Full 60 minutes next time.
