This track honestly reminds me of a beautiful Sunday morning in November. You just drank your coffee/tea, you’re wearing your favorite sweater, and you’re walking around the park. Truly a classic.
I'm going to be 20 in one month from the date I post this comment. It's just hard to accept, I miss being 7-10 years old playing this game non stop with my best friends and family... Funny, as a 10 year old I would watch mk64 and see all the nostalgia comments from 90s kids, now i'm old enough to experience it... Edit Feb, 2021: Whelp... I’m two decades old now.
I'm already 18 and coming back to things i did as a kid, it is hard to accept. I just can't believe its over so fast, but I guess that's just a part of life for everybody, it's hard to let go of the past
Same. I'm probably biased towards nostalgia, but I'm really not a fan of MK8D ruining most of these songs. Let's not even mention the SNES Mario Circuit remix...
I specifically remember this course, not because it was my favourite or anything, but because I once fell off of the course and onto this small patch of forest floor that somehow had solid collision, but no kill-plane. I drove around for a few seconds in bewilderment before hitting an invisible trigger and getting carried back up by Lakitu. I was never able to replicate it.
I started listening to this and wii bowsers castle(2x speed) at the same time to see if everyone was lying about the whole "bowsers castle is just maple treeway slowed and distorted" and yep. My mind is blown.
Everything about Maple Treeway is great. The autumn aesthetic, the leaves floating around the track, Wiggler and especially this comfy song. I always make sure to listen to this song in autumn at least once.
I mean, I’m happy this is in wave 3 of the DLC, it’s just the fact that they copy and pasted Mario Kart 7’s Maple Treeway… There are so many aspects of it that they removed that makes Maple Treeway Maple Treeway…. :,(
As awesome as this looks on the Booster Pass, I definitely think the music for Maple Treeway is better on the Wii, which is kind of weird because I almost always prefer the music for MK8 (due to the live band and electronics. For example, I think the music for Grumble Volcano is better in MK8)
Agreed. The MK8DX version is calmer than the original Wii version. It's good but it doesn't hit the same vibe when racing with the MK8DX music, too calm and lacking of percussion to have that "oomph" the Wii version had.
@@leonmystique9372 I think MK8’s Maple Treeway isn’t bad at all, it’s great (in my opinion, there’s not one Mario Kart game with weak music), I just think it’s kind of a “downgrade” from Wii’s Maple Treeway, which is rare in MK8
@@chubsbud even then Maple Treeway just overall plays better on the Wii… I’m not sure exactly why but it just does. MK8D or DS are absolutely the best games in the series (because just like the other games, they have amazing controls, but on top of that, they offer the most content) but I’m absolutely positive both Maple Treeway and Coconut Mall play better on the Wii (they’re good on MK8D, just not as good as they are on the Wii if that makes sense)
Those were beautiful times. That's the beauty of childhood. But children of today won't realize the joy of playing with CPUs and winning against them, in the time where there was no such thing as online multiplayer.
Just experiencing again what playing has been, it's been building such an awesome path, a path which headed to an imaginary but truly smiling end. All those leaves brought us to a secret but high adorableness.❤
The new MK8, or MK8DX Retro Tracks music versions, for me, are absolute *NIGHTMARES!!!* They're *NOT* like the old versions, and it seems to me that the new versions have *RUINED* the old ones!!! I'd much rather listen to the old, original Mario Kart music versions over and over than the new ones.
They completely ruined this track in 8, they turned the tree branches into actual track and you have no threat falling off unless it's your first time, the element of pure anxiety climbing the tree is completely gone, which was my favorite part of it
Agreed. The track also looks like shit. One of thr main reasons why i love this track is the art direction, the visuals were beatiful, not the case with thr BCP...
This and rainbow road are the only 2 songs that are ever used outside of mario kart. It’s good to see other companies like Nintendo and intelligent systems actually use them. Wish they did it more
