I got so sick of falling off of Rainbow road that I played it dozens of times in a row to git gud at it. I was the only one out of my friends that could play the whole track without falling off for at least a year.

@Sinzato BG MK8 has a hybrid drift where it takes a small moment to really turn. On top of that, you can charge orange MTs like a kart would and you cant wheelie. In MKW, bikes only charge blue MTs, the turn action starts immediately and you CAN wheelie. Thats why I say the only MK with bike mechanics. True bike mechanics at least.

bro is no one gonna talk about how there was NEVER a bad transition between the points where it gradually becomes more complex? 0:00 0:44 1:28 whenever I went from choosing manual to choosing the cup and map select, the music ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS had great transitioning. the magic of this track.
To me, the wildest song of the game... The prelude to the chaotic beggining of the race, the menacing look you give your friends before starting your engine. This game gets to be the nº 2 in ruining friendships... while Mario Party is the 1st
I would play as Yoshi, Birdo (some times), and King Boo here and there But my main character was Dry Bones when I unlocked him; never played as anyone else once I got him
@@Sryloth most people get it christmas and it released april so plenty of time and the wii was in every house and most people got mario kart wii bundled with their wii

I really hope in the next mario kart they bring back this kind of layered menu music, it's so iconic. Whenever I think Wii I think of this music & getting ready to put it all on the line with my siblings & cousins.
There is no main menu theme that has topped this for me This starts off slow, the anticipation for a race feels awesome and then when you get to the track select then here the engine! I'm ready!
Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love MK8 Deluxe. Hours of fun to be had with that game, but MK Wii is still my favorite. I love everything about this game. The music, the atmosphere, the gameplay, the amount of content, the breakneck pace, etc.
I used to play this a lot back in 2013. I remember playing as Yoshi all the time because he was my favorite character back then. I miss the good ol' days...
Bought the game in 2016, i thought it was Mario kart 8 but with a different name so when i played it i destroyed the disc because the gyroscope was terrible

I always enjoy listening to the main menu theme every time I play the Mario Kart Wii, even selecting a character, especially selecting the kart and doing manual drifting too, but on the classic controller
theres nothing quite like yelling with your friends at which cup to choose when player one just picks his favorite anyway while this plays in the background 1:28
this was the game that made me want to get a Wii. As a little kid i got an N64 and a PS1 but my parents never got me a ps2, gamecube or xbox so when i went to the house of a friend in 2008 and he had a Wii and saw this game i had my 11 year old mind explode, it looked so much better than the N64 and PS1 and the motion controls were so futuristic that when i got home i begged my parents for a Wii and christmas of that very same year i got one. I still have it to this day and use it regularly because i hacked it into oblivion but on it's own, the Wii is a pretty sweet system
Why not play it for the memories? I mean I powered on my Wii yesterday and played some Mario kart on the maps I remembered by name (Wario’s Gold Mine, Coconut Mall, Toad’s Factory) and some other ones
I literally get chills from every single memory as a little kid playing Mario kart for hours as my main game and my brother carried me through my childhood along with this game and it is the best game out of any game I've ever played, this is the best nostalgic and old games in the world and I'll never get bored of it or tired of it because its the best game to ever exist. Everytime i listen to this it just constantly reminds me of late nights and old memories as a child it almost makes me tear up because its so nostalgic
