Maqluba is one of the most popular dishes in the Middle East. Lots of flavors from the basmati rice, spiced meat and different vegetables, It is a feast in your mouth.
Maqluba means "Upside Down" since we take the pot and flip it upside down directly on the large plate.

After putting it all together doesn't it cook too much the second time. Would it be better to undercook everything in the first place?

Thanks for your comment. I cooked everything again with the rice to get all flavours to the rice and they didn't taste like overcooked vegetables. Everything was well done and delicious.
