This was the only time since 1789 when France was free from Freemasonry. It means that it was the only time when France was French and (relatively) free. After 1945 the American/Freemason occupation resulted in what is going today: a country called France that is not French anymore.
I am French and love Hungary (i see that you are by your name) and plan to move there, however i disagree and agree about some things you've said here, we have always fought for our freedom (even with De Gaulle making France leave NATO after ww2 and doing his best to avoid us being American puppets, even though we somehow are (culturally)) but i agree that today, France isn't French anymore, there is way too much immigration, muslims, especially those who disrespect christianism which was the main religion here before the state became religion-free lets say, even white native french people are sometimes bullied here, we are becoming a minority in our own country which is crazy, so i wouldve prefered a state that wouldve been like Vichy France but with control of the full french territory and not only the south
Trivia There were black bureaucrats in the Vichy regime. The Vichy regime lived longer than the Second French Republic. The axe of the Vichy regime is the flag of the EU Vichy, the capital of the Vichy regime, is a hot spring city. The Vichy regime was approved by the United States, the Soviet Union and Japan. The Vichy administration experienced hyperinflation. Part of the Vichy administration's law is still alive in 2022.
what part of vichy law are a life? the law of vichy was the law of the french republic, but the law of vichy i mean the colabo laws was destroyed after august 1944. what do you want to tell with the axes
@@louisferdinand8138 inspirated perhaps i not search, but do by the treator of vichy no. All the vichy laws was removed by cnr and communist. The republic back had repair the france and most of all its the général De GAULLE who do a best job

@Miraak Thuri Petain was the escape goat for the French Vichy, as since due to the fact France was in civil ruin, the French people said, Petain is leader, Blame him and Hitler. He was the only option and kept his head as a figure head! To think your own nation would turn on you like this.
@@jeneconepalortografe4984 Oh well.that puts paid any notion that people during the Vichy regime saw such thrilling images. Its the work of perhaps modern enthusiasts and sympathisers of a later period.
@@rhodiusscrolls3080 or they could have thrown their youth at Germany again, slaughtering yet again another generation of Frenchmen to the Germans. No, he did the right thing.
@@dracodistortion9447 What about the Italians Greeks and the Soviets!? Did Hitler consider Italians as descendants of the romans and Greeks as Spartans? What of ussr?
It's more complex than that if you read Hitler's memoirs, talks, etc. 1. Germany had no intent to annex France and French people to Germany, which would create a burden they did not want. Germany did not want to run foreign non Germanic people (French) which would be a waste of their time, and they also did not want to manage France's massive colonial Empire. 2. So Hitler made decision to give France very cordial and favorable peace terms (despite the French Army situation being abysmal and annihilated on the ground) for two main reasons. Germany very well could have either razed France or annexed them but did not. First reason is that Hitler wanted to leave a French state to manage French people and the colonies. It was more efficient. Second reason is Hitler wanted to make a gesture towards French people, in the hope that that the French Army joins Germany in the future Eastern Front. This actually did not happen as Pétain régime did not do jack shit to help the Germans on the Eastern Front, they only create half assed units like LVF. They also tried to create SS division in France but there were only 5000 volunteers, many of them second rate recruits. So it was abysmal failure. 3. By 1944, Hitler said he regretted giving France such good terms and regretted handing power to Pétain. In private talks, he said it would actually have been more efficient to eradicate the French government and put real French Nazis in power, who could create French Reich similar to German Reich. This would have made France a much more powerful German Ally, instead it was wasted.
Like the guy above me say, the Third Reich actually want France to become German ally in the future and have no intention annex all of France, after the war end they will return the Northen Part of France which being occupy by Third Reich for strategy problems.
The marshal is actually a shithead, he rapidly expanded the army with lacking manpower, imprisoned and executed his political enemies, really treated Jews like they were cow crap and more importantly, it makes Heinrich Himmler seem like a little bun bun.

Marshall Petain was loved by the people because he understood them. The french Republic promoted atheism and the values of the french revolution because it was rulled by the upper class. The simple people on the other hand were religious and didn't care about iluminism. That is why the average french loved the Vichy Government because it understood them and promoted family values and work ethics.
Even alot of republican idealist followed him if you check his government because Petain incarned both the moral and traditional values but also the values of fairness and protection He was the best mix between order and "tenderness" if you see what i mean Vichy actually united France more than it divided it, had it happened in an non war context it would have been France at it's paroxysm.

To be fair to Pétain, he did have the entire might of the Wehrmacht literally on his doorstep, and his nation was left without a government after the Fall of Paris, it was up to him to take over governance, to save France from destruction, to rebuild her. France's military was scattered and lacking in organisation. It's easy to say you'd fight to the death when you aren't faced with such odds yourself.
I’m gonna tell you now, Petain didn’t. He had his political enemies, communists, non aligned and Democratic Party members arrested then killed by delivering them to the Germans, including he had tons of hate for Jewish People during the war, he was a World War One veteran but sometimes, a hero can be the villain, rethink it pal.
@@joehickey8597 he ruled a puppet state. He doesn’t have control over the policies. He was begged to be “ruler” with vichy France, because the politicians of France were cowards. Yes some heroes can become villains but Petain isn’t one of them. He was a hero who was vilified and “villainized”.
@@joehickey8597 I mean, yeah, Pétain hated Communists. He was a French Nationalist who had seen Marxists riot in his country during the 1930s, destroying property, weakening the French spirit. He considered them responsible for France's weakness in 1940, because in his mind they were the ones behind France's despondency in the 1930s.
