You two are just so cute together. Your husband sounds so nice and you guys get along so well. My gosh these soaps came out SO pretty! Thank you for showing us how to do that and confidence to fix things.
I really loved the "happy accident" nature of this soap! 😮 Wow, it is so VIBRANT! Using the RA to open up gaps is a new technique for me... there's a lot you can do with that! And the blue alllllllll the way in the back adds so much dimension! Really nifty spontaneous design! Rocci and I really enjoyed the dual voice-over with you and Mister Soaps! Such a fun format! Secret message incoming for the Mysterious Mister Soaps "👋👋✌👍👊🙌👏,👌?" Keep up the great work, guys! It just gets better and better! 😊❤🤩
Thank you so much! 🥰And I almost did a spit take over Mr. Soaps' secret message- I'll have to see if he can decipher it! 🤣🤣🤣Really happy you like the soap and the format- we really do enjoy making these! Thanks again for your great comments, for watching, and for your encouragement! 😍
Mine did not turn out like yours so I will be trying this again! I was happy with how it looked and each 3rd time you use it, it looks like you are using a different soap. I ended up with approximately 8 layers of soap. Something new!! Thank you Ms. Terry!! :) Will send pics.
Can't wait to see it! 😍 No two marble batches will ever look alike, imo. So many factors! SO glad you like it though and really can't wait to see how it turned out! When I see the pics, maybe I can help figure out why it doesn't look more like mine. Mine wasn't supposed to look like mine, either, LOL. 🥰
Thank you- definitely easier in the slab mold! I did do one video using a loaf mold, and it came out really cool, but not quite the same look. If you haven't seen it, look for my Ocean Marble Soap. Thanks for watching! 🥰
How do you figure out how much clear to melt and then use for the individual colors. For instance mixing too much Flirt that you wouldn't use in any other layer. I figure you know how many ounces the mold will hold and then take out some of the clear blocks for the little cups of clear, but how much? Thank you!!
Great question! I start with how many oz I want the bars to weigh. This mold creates 12 bars. If I want each bar to weigh 5.5 oz, I need 66 oz or 4 lbs (4.125 if I'm being picky- which I'm not). If I want thicker bars, I melt more, but 5.5 per bar is kind of a minimum for me, as they are too thin in my opinion with less. I usually weigh out my soap in 2 large pitchers. I melt & fragrance one pitcher at a time, reheating as needed. I then pour from that main pitcher into the little cups, also as needed. The cups hold 3.4 oz and it takes about 2 of those for a layer, depending on how thick I make that layer. If I'm marbling in clear, I only need about 1 oz per color for colored soap. If I make too much of one color, it gets saved for another time, and I can always make up the difference by adding more clear. Because I allow the layers to set up in between- usually after 2-3 colors, I can then melt more or reheat if necessary. I hope some of that makes sense and answers your questions! Thanks for watching and commenting! 🥰
Thanks! There are so many. I purchase my colorants from Mad Micas (link in my video descriptions), my scents from a variety of places (Wholesale Supplies Plus, Wellington Fragrances, Aztec Candle Supply, and several others). For essential oils, I don't use many in soaps, as most are better for other products, but I purchase them at New Directions Aromatics, usually. Most videos have links in the description box, but if I left it off, just let me know. 🥰
